Simple changes of the plasticizing unit All BOY machines from 25 tons and up, are now equipped with a universal injection unit that allows easy replacement of the plasticizing unit. This means that you can run a significantly larger range of products / shot weights in one machine. To change the plasticizing unit to a larger/smaller version, does not take much longer than a normal mold switch. Econplast Econplast is a new design of the melt process that reduces energy consumption for this step by 40-50%. This through improved insulation, running of the screw and the optimized design of the screw and the feed zone. I OUR BOOTH we will exhibit a BOY 35E with clamping force of 35 tons. The machine will be equipped with a clean room cap which is specially designed for a sterile process. The machine will also be equipped with auto loader. We will be producing covers for insulin pens in a sprue less mold with hot runner and 16 cavities. The machine, which is intended for production of sterile products, is coated with a specially designed anti-static paint, has ionized air filtration in the mold area and all critical parts are made of stainless steel. This is increasing the non-productive time in presses and injection molding machines. The plastic industry has since long used the magnetic platens for mold fixation to reduce this problem, but in the rubber industry this has not been possible due to a technology that has not worked with hot molds. This problem has RIVI Magnetics solved with their GEMINI system. The corresponding systems for the plastics industry is called LION and has the same basic technique but for lower temperatures. No loose parts, no energy consumption during production. Easy and safe. IN OUR BOOTH we will demonstrate a set of platens from RIVI.
