21 Technical inforation Technical inforation Find the right type of pup for you: a house water dispenser (BPE) or house water works (BPP) Today, in a tie in which drinking water has becoe an expensive and valuable product, house water dispensers and house water works are becoing increasingly iportant. Hoe owners becoe aware of the price of drinking water at the latest when they see their water bill. So why not used inexpensive process water for washing achines, toilet flushing and watering your garden? But what are the differences, and according to what criteria should one choose which pup is the right one? Difference: BPEs switch on/off autoatically depending on whether water is needed. Their copact build akes it possible to easily take the into the garden for use as a garden pup. BPPs, on the other hand, have a pressure tank. When water is needed, it is puped fro the tank and only then is the pup autoatically switched on or off. Recoendation: BPE: If water is used for longer periods of tie or if constant pressure is required for water use (e.g. for cleaning work or watering the garden). BPP: For several outlets in the house, saller aounts of water and ore coon use (e.g. WC, washing achine). Calculation of the pup capacity Decisive criteria include the required flow rate and pressure for the application (lifting height). The values calculated can be used to select the right pup using the pup capacity characteristic curve. Q = flow rate 1 First the total required water volue has to be calculated fro the outlets that are to be used at the sae tie. Typical consuption values: WC flushing tanks = 4 l/in, washing achine = 10 l/in, watering the garden = 10 l/in per sprinkler, cleaning work = 8 l/in. 2 Siultaneous consuption values ust be added together. (Exaple: Siultaneous use of the washing achine and 2 sprinklers => 10 l/in + 2 x 10 l/in = 30 l/in). 3 Since the outlets are not always open, only 50% of the total consuption is included as a usage factor (e.g. for rinse and washing cycle changes in washing achines). (Exaple: => 30 l/in x 0.5 = 15 l/in. This corresponds to a deand of 900 litres per hour; 15 l/in x 60 in). H = Required pup pressure / lifting height The required lifting height of the pup coprises the suction height H S + pup height H F + required working pressure in eters of the water head H W. 15 % is added to copensate for conduction losses. 1 The suction height (H S ) is the height difference between the lowest water level to the pup (exaple: water level in the cistern is 2 below the pup). Result of exaple calculation: For this exaple a pup with a capacity of at least 900 l/h at a lifting height of 25.3 would be required. This value can be checked in the capacity characteristic curve of the pup (see following exaple).
