2 The perfect fit where quality and comfort Adding to Trane s broad portfolio of water terminals, the new Trane UniTrane U-Line s innovative u-turn airflow pattern make them perfect for buildings where individual offices of m² are grouped around a building s perimeter surrounding, for instance, a corridor or a common circulation zone. The U-line terminal units are designed specifically for installation in the false ceiling of corridors, with the conditioned air being ducted into each individual office. The outstanding quality of comfort provided is enhanced by the units compact dimensions and a layout ensuring ease of installation and service. Added comfort thanks to lower sound levels Since the sound emitted by U-Line terminal units is contained in the false ceiling in the corridor, it does not disturb office occupants. Therefore, compared to a terminal unit installed directly overhead in the office itself, the U-Line terminals reduce the global sound levels by 4 to 6 db in the air-conditioned space. Easier access Thanks to their remote location outside individual offices, access to the U-Line terminals for inspection, maintenance and servicing can occur during working hours without disturbing office occupants. Fast, easy installation When you opt for U-Line terminal units, only straight and short ductwork lengths are needed to route conditioned air into individual offices allowing money and time savings during installation. This is because outlet and return air are both routed on the same side of the unit. Consequently the treated air makes a u-turn inside the unit casing rather than this having to be achieved with the ductwork. In addition, the unit s low 225 mm height leaves more room in the false ceiling for access to the filter and fan motor, as well as more height for the condensate drainage piping work, reducing the need for condensate pump installation. Perfectly configured terminals straight from the factory The U-Line s fan motor options have been specifically defined to fit a wide airflow range and to match with either standard or high coil efficiency in order to meet the load requirements of office areas from m². Airflow is managed either by factory-wiring 3 speeds from a total of 5 available speeds or by pre-defining the operating airflow range in the presence of an EC fan motor. 3 count Lower energy consumption In its U-Line range, Trane offers a model which is equipped with an EC fan motor that can reduce fan motor energy consumption by 80%, resulting in a significant reduction in electricity bills. Used with its associated variable speed controller, the EC fan motor also improves thermal and acoustic comfort while providing the exact amount of capacity needed for effective operation. U-Line Controls solution with Trane Tracer ZN523 or ZN525 controllers. Trane s controllers are designed to provide fan speed optimization by keeping the fan at the lowest speed for a quiet working environment. They also integrate a specific control algorithm, based on room and discharge air temperature measures, as to eliminate uncomfortable hot/cold shower feelings. Tracer ZNs are LonMark certified and support SCC 8501 profile for easy BMS integration. Tracer ZN525 and ZN523 are proposed as factory-mounted controllers to drastically reduce on-site commissioning time, and ensure optimum quality and reliability of the assembly. Trane s controllers can deliver a fully integrated room comfort solution, when associated with Trane wired wall interfaces ZSM10, ZSM11 and ZSM31 or the wireless ZSM31-W. An AC fan motor is also available. A range of different sized electric heaters are available for 2-pipe coils supplied factory-mounted to save time on the jobsite. 3 To maintain the highest indoor air quality, a constant fresh air inlet spigot with adjustable airflow controller can be factory-mounted on the return air inlet.
