4 Handy hints to make your home even greener How does a weather compensator work? A weather compensator gets its signal from an outdoor temperature sensor placed on the shadow side of a building. The sensor registers the outside temperature and the electronic controller adjusts the boiler. Fitting a weather compensator can also help to reduce running costs.
