2. Remove the 2 screws that attach the toe kick to the toe kick bracket. Set the toe kick aside.

1 Tools needed: 20 Torx screwdriver 10 Torx screwdriver Small flat screwdriver Phillips screwdriver Items contained in the repair kit: Control unit with diode cut sheet Wax motor,1. Turn the power to the unit off at the circuit breaker. 2. Remove the 2 screws that attach the toe kick to the toe kick bracket. Set the toe kick aside. 3. Remove the 2 screws that attach the lower access panel. Set the panel aside. 4. If the unit has a custom wood panel or an Asko accessory door panel, it must be removed first. Open the door and remove the 4 Phillips screws. Be careful not to drop the panel. 5. Next, open the door and remove the 6 screws from the inner door. Set these screws aside. They are made of stainless steel and must not be confused with screws that are not made of stainless when you are putting the dishwasher back together. There are still 2 screws that are holding the outer door on. Close the door and locate the screws on the bottom of the outer door. The screws are pointing up towards the counter-top. The door panel will be free once these 2 screws have been removed, so take care and make sure the door panel doesn't fall. Remove the last 2 screws and set the door aside. 6. Take all of the wires off of the control board. 7. Remove the 2 screws on the top of the inner door. 8. Now, remove the control panel. Lift the panel up and towards you to release the tabs on the control panel from the slots on the inner door. 9. Flip the control panel over remove the 2 screws that mount the clear plastic protective film to the control board.

2 10. Remove the 2 screws that attach the keypad to the control panel. 11. Remove the three screws from the back of the control board and lift the board out. The slave keyboard mounting piece will stay in the control panel 12. Cut the proper diode on the new board according to the diode cut sheet that comes in the box with the board. 13. Remove the 3 screws in illustration... from the new board and discard the new keyboard mounting piece. 14. Align the 3 keyboard holes on the new board with the keyboard mounting piece on the control panel. Replace the 3 screws that mount the new control board. 15. Next, attach the keyboard with the 2 screws you removed earlier. 16. Replace the clear plastic protective film and the 2 original screws. 17. Remove the wires from the turbo dry fan and wax motor. 18. Open the inner door a bit and remove the 2 screws that hold the Turbo Dry fan cover. 19. Use a screwdriver in between both pegs on the turbo dry fan lock ring to turn the lock ring counterclockwise. Hold the turbo dry fan with one hand and rotate the lock ring counter clockwise until it releases the turbo dry fan. 20. Use a small flat screwdriver to separate the damper arm from the wax motor actuator arm. 21. Next, remove the wax motor from the turbo fan housing using a 10 Torx screwdriver. 22. Install the new wax motor. Be sure to' connect the damper arm and the wax motor actuator arm. 23. Install the turbo dry fan. The lock nut should be installed so that the two holes for the fan cover align horizontally. 24. Replace the fan cover. 25. Next, hook the clips of the control panel into the slots on the top ofthe inner door.

3 26. Install the 2 screws for the control panel on the top of the inner door. These screws are 20 Torx, and are threaded for plastic (large threads). 27. Connect all of the wiring harnesses on both the control board and turbo dry fan and wax motor assembly. 28. Install the outer door, lower access panel, and toe kick. Don't forget the 2 screws that are pointing up on the bottom of the outer door. 29. Install any cosmetic panels if used. 30. Turn power back on at the breaker and test the dishwasher by running a Rinse and Hold program. -

If any of the control unit components listed below or the conductive pattern (copper foil on the soldering side) near these components are damaged, most likely the external component caused the failure and should be ohm-measured. In the case of short-circuits, the components should be exchanged along with the control unit.
