3 Wear the glove and eye protection glass to protect the skin and eyes from refrigerant. Don t use this device near the fire and spark. Don t expose this device into sunshine and rain. Avoid to contact with corrosive liquid and gas. Keep good ventilation. II Notation: Read the manual carefully before using this device. Only for R134a. Check the refrigerant type before operation. The real working capacity of refrigerant cylinder should be 80% of it s efficient capacity, to avoid the serious accident result from overhigh side. Be sure that the high and low manual valve is closed before connecting the device to the air conditioner. Don t put the hose near rotation and heating automobile parts such as electronic fan and radiator. Check the vacuum pump oil level before use. The start time of recovering process should be less than 10 in one hour otherwise the compressor will be damaged. Keep away from children and people of insufficient mental development when running. Only for expert professional. Don t disassemble device without permission of manufacture. Don t put this device upside down. On the right side of this device there is high voltage input. The charge process would not work if the refrigerant in cylinder is less than 1Kg. Close the high and low manual valve after each time of using this device. 2

7 VI Basic operation: (I) Recovering notation: A strong protection function is designed for the long life of compressor, please note the item shown as follows: Open the oil draining valve (shown as the figure 2) after each recovering process to drain the waste oil. Set the weight data a little bit more than real value to recover the refrigerant completely. The start time of recovering process should be less than 10 in one hour otherwise the compressor will be damaged. When restart the recovering process after the protection stop of system, please observe the cylinder pressure gauge. Don t start the recovering process if the pressure is higher than 1.5Mpa.(Thus the process maybe not start and system would give an alarm.) Start the recovering process after the pressure is lower than 1.3Mpa. Wait for 5 minutes and retry if the process still could not start. Vacuumize the high and low side hose before recovering to protect the system against air and moisture. (II)Recovering operation A Power on and the displayer should display the net weight of refrigerant. B Be sure that the high and low side manual valve is closed. Connect the high and low Refrigerant XX.XX KG side hose to automotive air conditioner. Run the air conditioner for several minutes and then turn it off. Open the rapid coupler valve and observe the pressure of high and low side gauge. If the pressure is less than 150Kpa, the recovering process could not start. 6

8 C Open the high and low side manual valve on the control panel and press the Menu Recovery XX.XX KG key, the the default recovering weight would be displayed, you could press the and key to modify the value according the requirement. Press the Start/stop key to start the process. D The device would stop automatically after the recovering process is completed normally and give an alarm, then return to main menu. (III)Recovering process illustration A System would check the high and low side pressure before the start of recovering process. The process would not start if the pressure is too low. Recovery Pressure low B If the pressure and the refrigerant weight is reach to the preset protection value the system would stop automatically and give an alarm, light the HP indicator. The protection value of pressure is 1.7MPa, The protection value of weight is 14Kg. If Recovery Pressure high the system give an alarm of pressure high before the weight and pressure data reach to the protection value, it means that the system overload protection is working. The recovering process only could be restart when the cylinder pressure is less than 1.25Mpa. C In the recovering process, work time would be compensated for for 1 minute when the high or low side pressure close to 0Mpa. After the compensation time the recovering process is over. And the oil drain time of 20 seconds is following. D If the recovering process is not completed by itself, such as the manual stop result from hose pressure is too high, the oil draining process would not be start automatically. 7

9 (IV)Vacuum operation: A Switch the Power on. Refrigerant XX.XX KG B Press menu key for twice. Connect the high and low side hose to air conditioner. Vacuum XX.XX MIN Open the rapid coupler valve and manual valve to check the high and low side pressure. The vacuum process would not start if the pressure is higher than 250Kpa, Vacuum Pressure high please recover or let go the refrigerant in hose. C Control panel display the default time and you could modify it by pressing and key. Press the Start/stop key to start the process. The data would be saved automatically until the next modification. D System would return to main menu after the vacuum process is over. (V)Refill the refrigerant and oil A Vacuumize the air conditioner and be sure the refrigerant and oil quantity is enough for refilling requirement. B If the oil need to be refilled, open the oil valve after vacuum process and watch the scale, close the valve until the required oil enter system. C Press the Menu key to enter charge menu after oil refilling is completed. The process Charge XX.XX KG would not work if the refrigerant in cylinder is less than 1Kg. Modify the refilling value and Charge Refrigerant not enough press the Start/stop key to start the process. System would stop automatically after the process is over. 8

10 Warning! Close the high and low manual valve when check the high and low side, otherwise the result is not correct. (VI)Refilling method of refrigerant in tins It need not to switch on the device power when refill the refrigerant in tins. 1:Open the high and low manual valve, check the pressure. If the pressure is higher than 200Kpa, please recover the refrigerant in hoses. 2:Connect the low side hose of device to low side adapter of automotive air conditioner. Remove the rapid coupler of device high side hose and connect the tins refilling valve( shown as figure 3) to high side hose and close the valve. Connect the tins lid open tools to tins refilling valve. 3:Open the device high and low manual valve and the rapid coupler of low side hose. Vacuumize the air conditioner. 4:After vacuumize the air conditioner, connect the tins and open the tins lid open tools and tins refilling valve, start the air conditioner. 9

11 Notation:If the oil need to be refilled, refill the oil before refrigerant refilling and after vacuum. VII Maintenance (I) Refill the cylinder with refrigerant: a The system need to be refilled with refrigerant when the device refrigerant quantity is close to 1Kg. b Take a cylinder of refrigerant which is same with the device refrigerant and connect it to the device low side hose, don t open the cylinder valve. c Open the low manual valve and close the high manual valve, run the vacuum process for 1 minute. d Open the valve on the outer cylinder and set the recovering weight, run the recovering process. Notation: Please don t refill over 3Kg refrigerant into cylinder in one recovering process. Put the cylinder upside down after the recovering process is start. (figure 4) Close the cylinder valve when the real recovering quantity is 1Kg less than the preset quantity. Please operate strictly according the above 10

12 requirement, otherwise it would result in the fault. figure(3) (II) Change the dryer and filter: System could accumulate the recovering refrigerant weight. When the value reach to 200Kg, system would prompt changing the dryer and filter. The over would be displayed when the power is on and system would not start recovering process. Changing stage 1:Open the high and low manual valve and check the pressure. If the pressure is higher than 200Kpa, please recover the refrigerant in hoses. Figure(4) 2: Remove the backboard of device and remove the old dryer and filter to change a new one. Note the installation direction of dryer and filter. 3: After changing the dryer and filter it should switch the power on and press the and key in same time to enter reset menu and press menu key to select filter item, press and key in same time again to reset the working time. (III)change vacuum pump oil 11

13 Must use the original pump oil or oil recommended by manufacture When the oil level is reach the minimum position, pump oil should be added. If the oil level is too high, it should be drained by unfastening the draining screw System could accumulate the vacuum time. When the value reach to 150 hours, system would prompt changing the pump oil. The over would be displayed when the power is on and system would not start vacuum process. When the color of pump oil is changed to white, it should be changed. Change stage: 1:Before changing, run the vacuum process for 1 minute to be sure that the pump is in hot condition. Open the draining screw to drain the oil into a container. 2: Unplug the power cable and remove the backboard of device. Unfasten the oil entrance lid and add oil into the pump until the oil level is higher than the minimum position, fasten the screw. 3:After changing vacuum pump oil, it should switch the power on and press the and key in same time to enter reset menu and press menu key to select vacuum oil item, press and key in same time again to reset the working time. (IV) Digital weight scale calibrating: After changing the refrigerant cylinder, or the digital weight scale is used for a long time, the weight scale displaying weight is different with the real value. It could be corrected by calibrating the weight scale precision and cylinder weight. At first be sure that no refrigerant is in cylinder. If less than 0.5Kg refrigerant is in cylinder, press the and key in same time to enter reset menu and press menu key to select weight scale item, press and key in same time again to reset the weight scale. 12

14 Supplement: How to refill new R134 into the storage cylinder from a mini tank. (The R134a amount in the mini tank just like 300g or 500g) 1) Connect the HP side and LP side hoses to AC system. 2) Connect the mini tank to the Mini Tank Adaptor as the below picture indicates. 3) Open the valve of Mini Tank Adaptor, the HP & LP valve on control panel, and open the HP & LP quick adaptors on the charging hoses. 4) Do vacuum until LP pressure close to -1kg 5) Push to pin the tank. Open the manual valve on the mini tank charging hose. When you need to refill more, then close the manual valve on mini tank and then change a new mini tank. 6) When refilling all finished, close the HP & LP valve on the control panel.
