Attach explanatory memorandum and other background information as necessary). On October 21, 2014, the Board of Supervisors awarded two contracts to local firms to provide janitorial services spread across 18 leased facilities for four departments for a period of two years with the option to renew for three one year periods. Staff recommends that the Board approve an amendment to extend each contract until October 31, 2017 with the contract with Peerless Building Maintenance also requiring an increase to the monthly rate on January 1, 2017 due to the State minimum wage increase. The Clean King contract also includes changes to Behavioral Health locations. The $84,276 amendment to the $153, Clean King contract brings the new total contract price to $237, and the $368, amendment to the $686, Peerless contract brings the new total contract price to $1,072, Fiscal Impact: Changes in the current year are included in the budget.
