5 Definitions Cleaning The complete removal of all visible soil from the surface

6 Definitions Sanitization The process by which the number of bacteria and other organisms living on inanimate objects is reduced to an acceptable standard. Sanitization does not necessarily totally eliminate all microorganisms, but is aimed at reducing total t numbers of organisms

7 Definitions Sanitization The process involves the removal of dirt, hair, saliva, blood, feces and urine This is followed by washing with detergents and rinsing with a chemical sanitizer or water at 180ºF (82.2ºC)
