Residents with garbage collection on Tuesdays have recycling collection on Thursdays marked with. Residents with garbage collection on Wednesdays have recycling collection on Thursdays marked with Please note that Invermere s garbage bylaw does not allow garbage to be placed curbside before am the day of pickup because of issues with wildlife.

8 Recycling options for Invermere Yellow ins If you miss your recycling collection day, drop off certain items at the RDEK s yellow bins around town. ccepted items are listed at the end of this booklet. Only certain bins take glass. Locations include: Invermere Transfer Station Invermere ottle Depot Columbia Valley Landfill Paint, CO & Smoke Detectors, and Small atteries ll paint is accepted including aerosol cans. Containers must be sealed and labelled. Jars/ Yogurt containers are not accepted. Empty containers are accepted, but please no brushes or rags. Find more information at Regeneration.ca Invermere Fire Department Mon-Fri am-pm. th St., Invermere at the west entrance to the fire hall. There is a drop-off surface for paint cans and a wooden shelf for detectors and batteries. RON - Northstar (paint only) Mon-Fri :0-pm. 0 orden St., Invermere. Household Hazardous Waste: Solvents, pesticides, gasoline and other flammable liquids should be taken to the Cranbrook ottle Depot. Restrictions do apply so call ahead if you have questions. 9 Container Recycling Ensure your recyclables are collected! Follow these preparation instructions CCEPTED ITEMS ND PREPRTION DO NOT INCLUDE Glass ottles and Jars ll plastics #-# ags Food and beverage bottles and tubs with # through # in the recycling symbol. Laundry jugs and bottles; cleaner, soap and shampoo bottles, etc Plastic grocery or other shopping bags Empty and rinse all containers. Discard lids and sprayers No overwrap (eg: from cases of pop, bottled water, toilet paper, etc). No dry cleaning plastic, baggies or food wrap No liners (eg: from cereal or cracker boxes) No motor oil or chemical containers No toys luminum and Tin Cans LL FOOD ND EVERGE cans and lids Clean aluminum foil containers Empty and rinse cans Labels are ok No aerosol or paint cants No cooking pots or pans No other metal items No paper-backed foil (lits from take-out food) No foil laminates (potato chip bags) SORRY NO GLSS in container recycling. 10 Paper Recycling Ensure your recyclables are collected! Follow these preparation instructions CCEPTED ITEMS ND PREPRTION DO NOT INCLUDE Newspapers Newspapers and all flyers. Pack loosely in blue bag - do NOT bundle. No aluminum foil No elastic bands Mixed Paper Items that are 00% paper, such as magazines, telephone books, junk mail, cards, bags, egg cartons, office paper, etc. ooks are accepted - remove and discard hard covers (consider donating to the library). No metallic or glitter gift wrap/ cards No photographs No used tissues or paper towels or any other contaminated paper No milk or juice boxes or cartons No paper beverage cups (coffee, pop, etc) oxboard Window envelopes are ok oxboard such as cereal boxes, shoe boxes abd paper towel centre cores, etc. Paper egg cartons. Remove plastic windows from pasta and tissue boxes. Remove inside bags and liners. Corrugated Cardboard Corrugated boxes must be flattened. Pack loosely in blue bag - do NOT bundle. Maximum weight of kg Staples and tape are ok. Remove LL food residue and contents from pizza boxes. No cardboard that has been contaminated with oils or chemicals
