1 A Mechanical Ventilation Checklist A Use this checklist with Non-Distributed Ventilation Systems such as those usually found in dwellings with electric or hot water radiant or baseboard heating systems. Civic Address. Principal Fan a) Exhaust Rate: Use the bedroom count from Box (A) above and Table A. to determine Minimum Rate. Maximum Rate of 110 cfm if NAEFVA/Radon present. The Principal Exhaust Fan will be controlled automatically with an interval timer OR run continuously. Minimum required rate: Interval Timer Continuous cfm (Q cfm (D) b) Principal Fan CFM & Sone Rating: Make Model cfm <B> Sones: Interval, Continuous Box E Maximum allowed is 110 cfm if Make-up Air Required in Step 4. 3 B Mechanical Ventilation Checklist B For use with forced-air heating systems utilizing a ventilation air duct into the return-air plenum of a naturally-aspirating furnace. Use Checklist C if this furnace type is not within the heated building envelope (e.g., located in the garage) or if the furnace is a mid-efficiency (induced draft) or high-efficiency (sealed combustion) gas appliance or is an electric forced-air furnace.
