2 Health & Safety It is the Sites responsibility to ensure that all loading & unloading takes place in a safe manner. The material should always be stored in such a way as not to endanger staff or the public. Relevant health & safety notices should be in place on the site. Clear signage indicating which areas the public have access to Inspection of material on arrival to site, checking it is a suitable condition & any contamination removed. The Public should be supervised when placing in containers, skips, Bins or cages. Material to be segregated into the Weee Families for collection IMPORTANT NOTICE Computers & data stor age devices: It is the consumers responsibility to remove data from computers, hard drives, mobile phones etc prior to disposal. Under no circumstances should any individual or commercial entity be allowed to remove equipment from the site without authorization from or its subcontractors. collection & recycling is applicable to consumer equipment only. NO COMMERCIAL MATERIAL IS TO BE ACCEPTED.
3 Rules for Segregation into 5 Families Material to be segregated into Families Assembled for collection as per contractors instructions Adequate space for loading of vehicle Adequate signage to inform the public of the segregation requirements where applicable All Material is to be segregated into the following classiication prior to collection. All Material should be accessible for collection, with adequate space provided for the loading of the vehicles. 1 ALL CONTAMINATION IS TO BE REMOVED FROM THE PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE ON SITE (eg: Packaging, Food waste, Plastic bags) Fridge Freezers: Large Household Appliances with refrigeration & freezing capabilities. This does NOT Include commercial refrigeration equipment. 2 Large Household Appliances: Washing machines, Dishwashers, Dryers, Ovens, Electric Cookers, Stoves etc.
