These dryers use an adsorption material called desiccant in order to absorb and remove (by regeneration phase) the humidity from the compressed air. ith this method we can reach a PDP < C ( -0 C. or -0 C.). This range should also be used when the ambient temperature goes below freezing point, to avoid ice building in pipes and applications. The DS range is typically used in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industry and whenever a PDP < C is requested. dsorption removes the remaining moisture content in the air that will condense out even downstream of a refrigerant dryer. Its technology simulates a temperature reduction down to -0 C to -0 C by attracting and retaining moisture with the desiccant media (moisture freezes at + C actual temperature reduction) to condense out the very last water content in the air.
