Take care to ensure that the cable does not hang down/loose. * Before operating this device, please read this instruction manual carefully. * Prior to cleaning and when the device is not in use, please unplug it from the mains power supply. * This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system. * If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Kogan customer service technician in order to avoid hazards. * Make sure that the power cord and plug DO NOT come into contact with water. * Never use the appliance outdoors. * Place the appliance on a flat, stable heat-resistant and splash-proof surface where it cannot fall. * Make sure that your hands are dry when you touch the appliance, the power cord or the plug. * The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above as well as persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand any potential hazards. Carefully unpack your contact grill. Remove all packaging materials. 2. Place the Grill on a flat, level surface close to a volt wall outlet. Open the Grill Lid. 3. Wipe the Cooking Plates with a damp cloth so that they are clean. 4. Wipe the outside of the Grill Housing with a soft damp cloth. NEVER immerse the Grill, power cord and plug in water or any other liquid. 5. Close the Grill. 6. Plug into the wall outlet and pre-heat for 5 minutes. HOW TO USE YOUR GRILL 1. Place your grill on a flat dry surface close to a volt wall outlet. 2. Close the Grill and plug it into a volt wall outlet. Press the power button. The red Power light will illuminate. 3. The unit's default temperature setting will be 140 C. Use the adjustment buttons to set the desired cooking temperature. The grill will begin to heat up. When the green Ready light illuminates, the grill will have reached the correct temperature for cooking. At the same time, you will be able to press the time button and the adjustment buttons to set the desired cooking time, based on the type and thickness of food, as well as personal taste. When the set time has elapsed, a beeper will sound five times to alert consumers. 4. Open the contact grill and place food on the bottom grill plate. Close the lid and press down gently. 5. The cooking time will depend on the type of food in use and your personal taste. 3

5 CARE AND CLEANING 1. Unplug the contact grill from the wall outlet and allow it to cool completely. 2. Clean the outer surfaces of the grill with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use strong detergents or scouring pads which may scratch the non-stick coating 3. The appliance must not be immersed.
