Anti-freezing protection control When in Cooling mode, if the compressor has worked for over 10 minutes and the copper coil temperature is continuously <2ºC for over 20 seconds, then the compressor and water motor will stop working and the LCD will display E4. The unit at this moment initiates the anti-frost protection and all buttons on the control panel (except for power button) are inactive. Once the copper coil temperature increases back to >8ºC, the anti-freezing protection will stop automatically and the compressor, water motor will start working once again and the machine will recover back to its previous operating state, (in order to protect the compressor, it will be restarted 3min. later) Water-full protection When the water level in the water plate exceeds the warning level, the machine will alert the user automatically and the LCD will display FL. You will need to drain the water from the machine following the section of Water Drainage Compressor delay-protection The compressor will always have a small delay of about 3 minutes in order for it to begin. This means that the compressor is in recovery mode. Only during the first use of the unit, the compressor will come on immediately.
12 No refrigerant protection When in Cooling mode and dehumidifying mode, if the compressor has worked for over 10 minutes, but the temperature difference between the coil temperature and the room temperature is still less than 3 ºC and this temperature difference has lasted for over 30 minutes, the machine will enter into norefrigerant protection. This means, there is no refrigerant in the unit, so the compressor and water spring motors will stop working, the down fan will stop running, the up fan will run at low speed and lastly the LCD will display E3. Water Drainage The product has an automatic water evaporation system. The circulation of condensed water, cools down the condenser. This not only increases refrigeration efficiency but also saves energy. 1. Manual drainage : a. When the water tank is full and the unit stops working, please turn off the unit and unplug it from the mains. Please do not move the unit abruptly, or the water will spilt out from water recipient. b. Screw off the water cover and unplug the water blocker. (Please see part 12 under section Parts of the SY-AC1200 ) c. Use a water container to remove the water from under the unit. d. When the water is out, plug in the water blocker once again and screw on the water cover properly. (Please see part 12 under section Parts of the SY-AC1200 ) 2. Continuous drainage: a. Screw off the water plug and unplug the water blocker. (Please see part 12 under section Parts of the SY-AC1200 ) b. Use a water pipe to connect it to the water outlet. Lead the pipe to the outside or washroom. c. When the water is out, plug in the water blocker and screw on the water cover (Please see part 12 under section Parts of the SY-AC1200 ) This model has a self-evaporative function, under the cooling mode it is recommended not to use continuous drainage in order to get a better cooling effect.
13 Maintenance Cleaning Please turn off the unit and unplug the unit before cleaning or carrying out any sort of maintenance Cleaning the surface Clean the housing with a duster or a soft wet cloth. Do not use any chemical solvent (such as benzene, alcohol, gasoline). The surface may damage or may even deform the complete outer casing. Air filter cleaning Clean the air filters every 2 weeks. If the air filter is blocked with dust, the efficiency will reduce. 1) Pull the filter out towards you and then pull it up as shown below. 2) Wash the air filters by immersing it gently into warm water (about 40 ºC) with a neutral detergent, rinse it and dry it thoroughly in a dry place. 3) Install the air filters carefully after cleaning the filters. Make sure these are well assembled before using the unit again.
14 Open from here If the filter is not too dirty, If the filter is very dirty, use a vacuum cleaner clean it with warm water to suck the dust. The ideal temperature of the water is 40ºC (Picture 8) After Season Maintenance 1. Pull out the plug in a drainage hole and empty the water-receiving plate, or drain out the water by leaning the unit. Then enter into the fan mode, and press the button for 5 seconds until it sets to the low fan speed. Keep this mode on for half a day until its inside becomes dry. 2. Turn off the unit and pull out the plug. 3. Clean its filter screen and reinstall back. 4. Tie the wire and bind it together, then put it into the accessories storage space. 5. Remove the exhaust pipe and accessories and keep them safely. 6. Put the unit into a plastic bag, and then keep it in a cool and dry place. 7. Take out the batteries of remote control and safely keep them. * All accessories can be placed in the accessories storage on the back of the unit. Using the unit after a long time 1.
