1 Housekeeping Specifications Individual Offices and Suites: Vacuum all carpeting Clean baseboards/cove base Sweep hard surface floors Mop hard surface floors Spot clean stains/spills Clean inside and outside of entrance glass Spot clean walls, doors, trash receptacles Steam clean carpeting Buffing and waxing hard surface floors Window cleaning Dust tenant door signs Dust tops of cubicles when applicable Kitchen surfaces when tenant exits (moves out) as needed as needed Note: Janitorial services are not responsible for tenant boxes, kitchen appliances or cleaning furniture/items that tenant owns. These types of services can be arranged for a fee. 3 Clean and disinfect walls behind and around commodes, urinals, and sinks Keep floor drains full (odor eliminator-1 gallon of dx50 or water) Spot clean trash receptacles, walls, and doors Replace tissue, towels, and soap Clean and disinfect tissue, towels, and soap dispensers Scrub floors Damp-mop floors and rinse with a disinfectant detergent Common Areas: Kitchens, Copy/Mail Rooms, Hallways, Entrances, Vending, Lobby: Vacuum carpeted areas Dust-mop tiled areas and spot damp-mop soiled areas Damp-mop tiled areas Dust horizontal surfaces, stair ledges, entrances Clean/disinfect drinking fountains and sinks Empty trash receptacles and replace liners (use clear liners) Clean doors, entrance glass, storefronts (including ledges) Vacuum/damp-mop stairwells Dust stair ledges, entrances Burnish/buff tile floors Patrol, collect, and dispose of trash around garbage collection and recycle centers Empty exterior ashtrays and police within 20 radius of exterior doors Vacuum and sweep floor mats (inside and outside)

5 Other Tasks: Lock entrances Interior doors locked as designated by tenants Turn off lights when cleaning is completed Keep janitorial closets neat and orderly Empty outside trash receptacles Pick up trash around outside of building Empty cigarette urns at building entrances as needed Sweep outside entrances Collect recycling from all interior bins and transport to the appropriate receptacles ** Housekeeping shall provide a three-day notice to all affected tenants as to the schedule of this process. Some tenants have experiments, lab instruments or employees which are sensitive to certain chemicals and must be forewarned before these substances are used. Tenants and housekeeping alike must be mindful that the HVAC system distributes fumes throughout the whole building. Tenants requiring housekeeping services beyond those covered in their lease, may contact the VTCRC Administration office for details.
