3 The Friction Washer FW55-70 The Friction Washer The Friction Washer is designed to dissolve all types of water soluble contaminations like detergents and paper fibres. The rotor inside the machine rotates with a relative slow speed which results in a long residence of the plastic particles in presence of water. To feed directly to the downstream Tornado Washer the Friction Washer can be inclined. Depending on type of contamination the quantity of the cycle water is between 30 and 100 m 3 /h. 6 The Tornado Washer MW One Step Cleaner: The Tornado Washer The Tornado Washer cleans the prewashed plastics by spinning off residual contaminations from the surface of the flakes. By the high speed of rotor the plastic is simultaneously dewatered. No additional water is added to the Washer.
