There are many potential sources of microbiological contamination in hospitals, nursing homes, correctional facilities, as bacterias are easily spread unless very strict controls are in place. Optimal sanitation is ensured by a dual door design separated by a sanitized partition. Disinfected laundry never comes in contact with soiled contaminated laundry. Today the RABC (Risk Analysis and Biocontamination Control) standard brings the only logical solution to an efficient separation of clean and soiled linen, this standard avoid the risk of recontamination or cross contamination. Since 1984 it has been recognized that DANUBE barrier washers reduce the risk of spreading nosocomial infections (hospital acquired infections) during laundering.
