Discharge Plenum data... Formed from heavy gauge zinc coated sheet steel stiffened as necessary to prevent distortion and drumming. Access panel assemblies are secured by pozi head screws. Grilles Chassis units, are not provided with grilles as standard. Heating and Cooling Coils Series 9 units - Up to rows of coil. The coils comprise aluminium fins with spacer collars, mechanically bonded to copper primary tubes by an expansion process which provides a high range of heat transfer coupled with long life. The primary tubes are brazed into copper headers. All coils are tested for a working pressure of 0 Bars gauge. An insulated drain tray is fitted under the cooling surface. Connections THE CONCEPT The new Coolflow range from Biddle is the latest in a long pedigree of proven, high performance fan coils which provide economic, high-efficiency cooling and heating solutions wherever individual climate control is required. Equally suited to new build projects and building refurbishment programmes Coolflow is simple to specify and install. Comprehensive Range Available in both vertical and horizontal chassis versions for wallmounted or built-in/ceiling-recessed applications, Coolflow is a low-profile system with unit depths from 07mm to 8mm. Thermally or acoustically-lined discharge plenum sections may be specified to allow equalisation of air pressure and re-direction of air flow. These incorporate circular spigots for ease of ductwork connection. Factory-fitted control valve packages can also be specified. Insulated drain trays help prevent the formation of condensation and optional condensate pumps are also available. Heating coils - mm od copper tails. Filter Nylon non-woven filter is fitted on the inlet face of the units. Filters can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, by gently beating, or, in extreme cases by washing in mild detergent. A mesh g galvanised filter is available as an alternative to meet fire regulations of certain local Authorities. Fans/Motors Balanced DWDI forward curved centrifugal fans having aluminium impellers directly mounted on a resilient base for vibration free operation. Motors are totally enclosed, PSC type suitable for 0 Volt, phase 0 Hz electrical supply. They have sleeve bearings, class B insulation, thermal overload protection and multi speed tappings. Motors comply with relevant European standards. The fan/motor assembly is mounted on a fan plate which can be easily removed for servicing without disturbing wiring. Standard Controls Units are supplied as standard with a single pole switch giving speeds and off plus neon indicator. Switches are mounted on the side of the casing. Optional Controls Coolflow may be specified across the widest range of applications from single office installations, where comfort and convenience are essential, to building zones or groups of accommodation linked by common climate requirements. Coolflow has been proven over many years in business and commercial installations including retail, commercial office buildings, finance and computing, public buildings and many more. The system s efficient performance keeps noise levels to a minimum and allows air volumes to be conditioned with up to 0 pascals resistance per unit. Integral nylon, non-woven filtration may be replaced by an optional woven mesh filter when required. Where fresh air mixing is desired, Coolflow may be easily linked in-line to Biddle s Modulair fan coil system. Ease of maintenance Coolflow is engineered for long-continuous performance and minimal maintenance. Components such as filters and drain trays can be easily accessed for fast, trouble-free cleaning. They are based on the total noise energy of unit at 0 Pa external pressure being discharged into a furnished room of average construction. No allowance has been made for ceiling absorption or duct work attenuation etc. Experience shows that these noise levels can be reduced by up to NR for a chassis unit mounted above an insulated ceiling. Use the sound power levels to determine accurate noise levels for each application.
