Energy efficiency classes for heat pumps Y IJA IE IA Energy label The ErP directive (Energy related Products) for room heating/combi heating devices, domestic hot water preparation devices and domestic hot water cylinders comes into force on 26/09/2015. It outlines the design and labelling of energy-efficient products. Consumers will recognise the energy label with the distinctive bars in red, yellow and green, which have been in use for household appliances for years. A similar label will now also be introduced for all heat generators with a nominal heat output of up to 70. From September 2015, this label must be visible for the consumer in advertising, in quotations and on delivery. There are 3 versions of the label: Product label Used for the heat pump in pure heating operation. According to the capacity of the heat generator, an efficiency is shown at a flow temperature of 35 C and 55 C. Combi label Used for heat pumps which are supplied with domestic hot water preparation. The efficiency in heating operation is only shown for high temperature (55 C). The efficiency of the heat generator in combination with the domestic hot water cylinder is also shown. Integrated system label During marketing (to the end customer), the integrated system label must be clearly visible as early as the quotation phase and the additionaldata sheet for the integrated system calculation must be filled out correctly and provided. The informationrequired for this must be provided by the manufacturer. The specified energy efficiency classes show the seasonal energy efficiency of the heat pump system in heating operation at low temperature (35 C) or high temperature (55 C) based on the label directive (2010/30/EU) and the eco-design directive (2009/125/EC) for a climate region with an outside temperature of -10 C. With an efficiency value over 100%, the heat pump provides the building with more energy than is used to generate the required operating current. The higher the efficiency value, the higher the proportion of environmental energy used with the heat pump. Energy efficiency classes A++ A+ 35 C from 150 % 123 up to 150 % 55 C from 125 % 98 up to 125 % Example: A heat pump with efficiency class A++ provides at least 50% more heating energy than the amount of primary energy used for the power production in a heating system with a max. flow temperature of 35 C. General note Dimplex heat pumps for heating purposes are designed for use in a residential environment and correspond to the Low-voltage Directive. They are therefore also intended for use by layman for heating shops, offices, hotels and other similar working environments, in agricultural businesses or other residential buildings
