2 1. HEATER SPECIFICATION The hot tap water exchanger is intended for heating water and storing heated water. It can be used in households, institutional food service and restaurants, corporate social rooms, etc. Heater is suitable only for work in UPRIGHT position. It can be connected to the water supply system with pressure not exceeding 0.6 MPa (ca.6 atm.). Water can be heated by a helically coiled central heating exchanger (i.e. large surface coil) connected to the central heating boiler or additionally using an electrical heating element. Possibility of connecting it to the central heating boiler or electrical system ensures high savings in use of the exchanger, as water is headed by the central heating exchanger in winter (i.e. coil) hence it does not consume any electrical power. However, if the stove is not fired up, water is heated by an electrical heating element. Helical coil has large surface of heat exchange and, consequently, enables quick heating of large amounts of water. The basic model is a hot tap water exchanger with one helical coil shown in figure 4 and 5. Our offer includes exchangers with two helical coils, so-called bivalent coils, shown in figure 6 (with one coil to the central heating system, and the other to the solar heating system). The lower coil cooperates with a solar collector and the upper one - with the central heating boiler or a heating pump. In the lower part of the container, on the flange, we may additionally fit an electrical heating element use for warming up water in case of lower sun activity, outside of the heating season (two shields of sensors are located underneath the heating element). Anti-corrosion protection of the container is vitreous enamel fired in 850 C; the additional protection element is a large magnesium anode. Heaters are insulated with ecological polyurethane or polystyrene foam, which reduces heat loss to the absolute minimum. Location of all connections, connector pipes and their sizing is illustrated in the figures enclosed. 2. CONSTRUCTION The main part of the heater is a container in which water is heated. The container is made of enamel steel sheet (vitreous enamel). Holes in the bottoms of the container are closed with plugs. Two connector pipes of the coil to connect the central heating boiler and the connector pipe of cold water inlet from the water supply system and hot tap water outlet are located next to each other on one side of heater body. Additionally, there is also a hole for circulation connection and sensor shield, to which a sensor from the thermostat of the central heating boiler can be connected, ended with a sleeve 1/2". In upright containers with an electric set, the electrical heating element and the thermoregulator are located on the side, as shown in fig.1 or fig.2, in the lower or the middle part of the body, whereas the magnesium anode is located in the plug of the upper bottom. In wall-suspended containers, fig.3 NEPTUN KOMBI, the electrical heating element, the magnesium anode, connector pipe of cold water inlet and hot tap water outlet are located in the lower bottom. Next to the container body, there is the coil inlet and outlet, the hole for circulation connection and the sensor shield (to which a sensor of the thermostat of the central heating boiler can be connected) ended with a sleeve 1/2". In the electrical cover, there is a red control lamp that signals electric power consumption, and an orange lamp that signals connection to the electrical system, as shown in the wiring diagram 230 V. 3. Connect the heater to the central heating system or electrical system only after the heater is filled in with water. 2. The safety valve hast to be assembled directly before the heater on the cold water feed pipe. Use only and solely valves adjusted to storage water heaters that also include a non-return valve. 3. There can be no additional devices (e.g. a cut-off valve, a non-return valve etc.) between the safety valve and the heater. 4. Do not use the heater without operational safety valve. Check operation of the safety valve every 14 days by turning the hood right or left so that there is a discharge from the side external outlet. Then turn the hood in the opposite direction until it clicks in the previous position and press it down to the valve body. Note - there is a possibility of hot water discharge. The company disclaims any responsibility for malfunctioning of the safety valve resulting from incorrect valve fitting. The maximum pressure of fully open safety valve cannot exceed 0.67 Mpa. 5. Do not try to prevent water from dripping from the safety valve - do not plug the discharge hole of the safety valve. If water constantly leaks out from the safety valve, it means that the pressure in the water supply system is too high or the safety valve is out of order. The valve outlet should be directed downwards. It is recommenced that a funnel that discharges water is placed under the valve. It is also possible to place a hose on the outlet that discharges water leakage arising when opening the safety valve. The hose should be resistant to temperature up to +80 C, have a 9 mm internal diameter and 1.2 m maximum length, led to the outlet with a downward slope (min. 3%) in the environment in which temperature does not fall below 0 C. The hose required protection against decreasing opening area (folding, plugging) and its outlet should be visible (to check valve operation). 6. There cannot by any devices that cause the so-called water hammer in the system in which the heater is fitted, e.g. a ball valve used as a flushing valve. 7. Switch the heater off immediately if smoke comes out of any battery (notify the manufacturer). 8. Check the protection of the heater by measuring neutral grounding effectiveness at least once a year. 9. Connection of the heater to the mains without a grounding pin may result in electrocution in case of failure of electric equipment. 10. To maintain the heater in good operational condition, remove scale from the heating element at

5 GUARANTEE TERMS 1. Method of repair is determined by the manufacturer. 2. Replace the magnesium anode at least every 12 months (please keep the purchase receipt of the anode) Regular replacement of the magnesium anode is the condition to maintain the guarantee for the container. 3. In case of defects of the product, notify the service, hotline: Free repairs of damages attributable to the manufacturer will be remedies within 14 working days from the date of submission. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THE HEATER. Keep the purchase receipt of the heater for review by the service. Multiple repairs do not include: replacement of the magnesium anode, replacement of the seal etc. 4. The basis of guarantee repairs is a purchase invoice and the guarantee certificate that is complete, filled in correctly, ed by the relevant store and fitter, and contains no adjustments. Keep the guarantee certificate throughout the whole guarantee period. 5. In any cases not regulated herein, relevant regulations of the Civil Code shall apply. 6. Any mechanical damages of the heater void the guarantee. 7. Assemble the heater in such a way to ensure free access (e.g. for maintenance, repairs or replacement). The manufacturer is not responsible for any possible inconvenience or costs resulting from casing disassembly. 8. The guarantee for the sold consumer product does not exclude, limit or suspend any rights of the buyer resulting from inconsistency of the product with the agreement. Guarantee for enamelled container 80 * 140 dm3-48 months. Guarantee for enamelled container 200, 300, 380 dm3-42 months. Other parts -12 months. The guarantee covers the aforementioned period, no longer, however, than the guarantee period plus 12 months from the manufacture date of a given product. If the conditions do not enable application of suitable acids, it can be done by crushing the scale layer (make sure you do not damage heating element surface). 11. At least once a year, replace the magnesium anode in enamelled containers (excluded from the guarantee service). 12. To extend service life of the container and ensure effective operation of the safety valve, use filters that eliminate impurities. 13. Do not remove the cover if the heater is connected to power supply. 14. The manufacturer is not responsible for the quality of water (e.g. contained chemical compounds, scaling) and the related inconvenience. 15. Any smells and dark water coming out of the heater result from formation of hydrogen sulphide by bacteria reducing sulphate content that live in water of low oxygen content. If container cleaning, magnesium anode replacement and start-up with temperature > 60 C bring no results, we recommend using a titanium anode connected separately to the power supply. 16. If the cold water system that feeds the water to the heater has a non-return valve or a different device that operates as a non-return valve e.g. pressure regulator, the water system needs to be fitted with a collective diaphragm vessel of volume that is at least 5% greater than boiler volume. 17. Do not use plastic pipes to connect the heaters that are not intended to operate at temperature 100 C and pressure 0.7 MPa. 18. Assemble the heater in such a way to ensure free access (e.g. for maintenance, repairs or replacement). 19. Any mechanical damages of the container (or the heater) void the guarantee. 4. INSTALLATION OF THE HEATER The heater has to be installed by a fitter with relevant licence Heater installation needs to be recorded on the guarantee card. Because of its construction, the heater can be assembled only VERTICALLY. Connect the heater (with possibility of disconnection e.g. for maintenance) directly to the water supply system with pressure not more than 0.6 MPa; the minimum pressure cannot be lower than 0.1 MPa - ca. 1 atm). If the pressure in the water supply system is more than 0.6 MPa, it is necessary to reduce it by application of a pressure reducing valve. Assemble the safety valve e.g. ZB4 or ZB8 by FACH Cieszyn or ZB7 or ZB9 by Orkli (Spain) on the cold water feed pipe according to the arrow indicating the direction of water flow that is located on valve body. In the heater, the safety valve enables to decrease the pressure without water outflow outside through its flow to the feeding system. It opens the outflow in case of differential pressure in the heater and the system amounting to /-0.02 Mpa; therefore, in the distance of 5 meters from the safety valve, the cold water feed pipe should endure temperature +90 C (due to the possibility of hot water flow from the container to the system). The discharge hole of the safety valve needs to be constantly open - connected with the atmosphere. The diagram showing connection of the heater in an open system is shown in fig.1. The diagram showing connection of the heater in a closed system (with a diaphragm tank) is shown in fig.1. The heater can be connected to the power supply system only by a socket type 2P- 0/230V/10A (a plug-in socket with a grounding pin). For temporary disconnection of the water heater, remove the plug from the socket.
