(2) The difference between the piping length from the first branch to the farthest indoor unit and the piping length from the first branch to the closest indoor unit must be within 40m. * (g+h+j)-(b+d)<40m Heat Recovery System (Installation with Main Piping Branch) (1) The difference between the piping length from the first branch to the farthest indoor unit and the piping length from the first branch to the closest indoor unit must be within 40m. * (g+h+j)-(b+d)<40m The Farthest from the First Branch NOTE: DO NOT size up the piping for Heat Recovery System. Otherwise, it may be a cause of failure. For Heat Recovery System, there is no restriction if installed without a main piping branch. NOTE: Main Piping Branch: Both of the pipes branched from Multi-kit are connected to a further Multi-kit.

8 PAGE: 8 / Improvement of Workability Piping connection work can be now done from the refrigerant piping outlet (bottom right side of the front cover) in addition to three directions (front, rear or bottom) from the bottom base. On-Site Installation Work Install the piping connection kit at a position lower than the piping connection of the outdoor unit. Side The refrigerant oil is stagnated to the unit stopped. It is recoended to provide a trap in the case of raft foundations, since the piping connection is located at a low position. Newly Added A new piping outlet is provided on the lower right side of the front cover and so the piping connection kit can be installed at the lower position. This makes the installation of piping from multiple outdoor units easy and straightforward.

11 PAGE: 11 / General features and benefits of the SET FREE FSXN1E series 5.1 Line-Up for Various Needs The new standard type FSXN1E can provide 2 systems ( Heat Pump System and Heat Recovery System ), to be chosen depending on the purpose. Outdoor units are available with capacities ranging from 8 to 54HP, with a total 24 outdoor unit models for each system. A custom air conditioning environment can be created to satisfy specific building conditions. Selectable System from Heat Recovery System and Heat Pump System Used as Heat Recovery System Simultaneous cooling/heating operation is available. The recoended air outlet duct kit (*) has flanged opening, which makes the field connection work possible. Louver Outdoor Wall Outdoor NOTES: 1. Pay attention to the following circumstance when designing the installation. If there is a short-circuit at the air outlet duct, operation range becomes limited due to increased high pressure in cooling operation or decreased low pressure in heating operation, which may lead to failure of unit. 2. (*): Air outlet duct kit is field-supplied. Refer to Technical Catalog for the dimensional drawing of the recoended air outlet duct kit.

The data indicated is based on cooling mode. In the case of heating mode, the sound pressure level increases from 1 to 2 db(a). c. The data indicated has been measured in an anechoic chamber, so the reflected sound must be taken into account for installation. 3 If the main refrigerant pipe specified in the table is not available at the installation location, select the size given in brackets. In this case, prepare a suitable reducer. 4 There are no other combinations of units than those specified in the tables. 5 The width indicated for the outdoor dimensions takes into account a specific distance of 20 between the outdoor units (18-54 HP for FSXN1E series, HP for FSXNH(E) series). 6 The ERR and COP have been calculated from outdoor input power only. 7 The ESEER (1) is the standard cooling seasonal efficiency. 8 The ESSER (2) is the cooling seasonal efficiency with optimized system operation according to the seasonal demand.
