2 Introduction Thermotouch 3.2aP wireless thermostat Thermotouch 3.2aP is a wireless thermostat, which is designed for electric floor heating systems with a maximum load of up to 16A (3600W). Thermotouch 3.2aP is a wireless thermostat controlled using a smartphone or tablet, via the MyThermotouch app.! IMPORTANT SAFETY REGULATIONS! All wiring must conform to IEE 17th Edition Part P regulations. This product is rated: ip21 Thermotouch 3.2aP is IP21 rated and suitable for safe installation in bathrooms outside of special locations such as wet zones. All electrical circuits in bathrooms must be protected by a 30mA RCD. The instructions we supply include as much information as possible to ensure that all installations comply with current electrical regulations. 3 Installing Thermotouch 3.2aP Before you begin A sensor conduit and deep plastic back box must be installed to continue this installation. Feed the provided sensor probe (3m) down through the sensor conduit into a representive area of the floor. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS 1. Mythermotouch App is available for these operating systems and above: Apple ios 6.0, Windows Phone 8, Android 4.0 and above. 2. Mythermotouch App works with a Minimum of 1 and a maximum of 32 Thermotouch 3.2aP thermostats. Install the thermostat in the wall and connect it with the power supply and underfloor heating system as shown in the installation manual. 4 Important Information IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SAFE USAGE The manufacturer s guarantee does not cover malfunctions caused by mechanical damage, improper installation, or resulting from conditions not provided for by the Installation Manual. Please keep in mind that the Installation Manual and the Connection Diagram are no replacement for the professional skill of the device installer. We recommend that you use a qualified electrician for the thermostat and heating system installation. Only qualified electricians should perform the connections and power networking of the device. Switch off power before connecting wiring to the thermostat or disconnecting the device for testing. APPLICATION Thermotouch 3.2aP allows you to control the operation of electric floor heating systems in rooms (living room, bedroom, kitchen, kids room, etc) or in several residential properties (apartment, house, country house). Simultaneously, the application can interact with up to 32 heating systems by connecting them in one Wi-Fi network. The maximum amount of thermostats depends on the type of the router and the amount of other devices connected to the network. This is limited by the amount of free for use IP-addresses. In every room Thermotouch 3.2aP enables a user to preset and maintain the heating temperature in the range of +5 C to +45 C. This user guide does not cover router configuration 4

5 Thermostat Installation THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION Remove the front cover of the thermostat. 1. Unlock the cover by insertion of a flat blade screwdriver 2. Remove the cover 3. Connect the power supply, the heating mat and the sensor according the wiring diagram 4. Mount the thermostat into the back box (we recommend a plastic flush mount box) 5. Download App user guide from mythermotouch.com 6. Set the temperature and Wi-Fi settings 7. Install the front cover 5

6 Thermostat Installation Thermotouch 3.2aP is equipped with a removable front cover / frame. This front cover is normally fixed on a frame. This frame can be removed, if it is necessary to install the thermostat into a junction box without the front cover. To remove the frame of the device, press the four fixing clamps, located on upper and bottom sides of the thermostat, with a flat blade screwdriver and remove the frame from the thermostat body. 9 Application OPERATION MODES PROGRAM MODE Program mode allows you to preset the heating schedule for each room for every day of the week ahead. The user is able to enter desired heating temperature values for each hour of the day. You just preset the desired temperature. Thermotouch monitors itself, maintaining comfort and saving energy. 2. MANUAL MODE In this operation mode you have the possibility to adjust the set temperature from +5 C to +45 C. Check with your floor finishing manufacture for maximum recommended temperature. 3. VACATION MODE Activating this mode maintains a preset temperature between +5 C to +12 C. 9
