2. Usage Precautions 1. Do not defrost the inside walls with a knife or any sharp object.. The cooling pipes run behind the cabinet walls. Be careful not to damage the pipes because this could cause breakdown. Do not make holes in the cabinet walls to installation attachments. 2. Frost will accumulate on the inside walls of the freezer during normal use. Excess frost may make the internal doors difficult to open.. Remove the frost with a spatula, or a similar tool. Frost can be wiped off with a clean, dry cloth. 3. An access port for the measuring cable in the case is provided on the back wall of the freezer. Be sure to replace the cap and heat insulator after removing the cable or the inside temperature may not be reached and frost may accumulate outside the port. 4. In case of high ambient temperatures, the cabinet front may heat up after the freezer starts to operate for the first time. This is normal and does not suggest a malfunction. It is caused by hot gas piped around the unit to prevent frost or ice from adhering to the cabinet.

3. General Recommendations The refrigeration system is designed to maintain ultra-low temperatures with safety in a +32 o C ambient environments, only when the freezer is used for its intended purpose ( storage). This unit is not a rapid-freeze device. Freezing large quantities or liquid, or high-water content items will temporarily increase the chamber temperature and will cause the compressors to operate for a prolonged period of time. Improper use of the freezer may jeopardize safety or cause undue stress or damage to the compressors. Avoid opening the door for extended time periods because cold chamber air will rapidly escape. Room air, which is higher in humidity, replacing chamber air may cause rapid frost build-up in the chamber. 3.1 Environmental Conditions This equipment is designed to operate in following conditions: 1. Indoor use; 2. Ambient temperature between 15 C and 32 o C; 3. Main supply voltage fluctuation not to exceed +10% to -10% of normal voltage. Initial Loading When loading the unit with pre-frozen materials, the operating temperature set point should not be set lower than the temperature of the pre-frozen material. Allow the unit to operate at the set point for eight hours. The set point may than be lowered in increments no greater than 10 o C. Allow a stabilizing period of eight hours for every ten degrees, until the desired set point is achieved. Failure to follow these procedures, or overloading the unit, may cause excessive stress on the compressors any jeopardize user safety.

4. Pre-Installation On delivery, unpack the unit and check the cabinet exterior for signs of damage. Do not discard the internal lids from chest-style units. These lids are necessary to maintain the correct temperature, moisture control, and general operational efficiency. 5. Installation Do not deviate from the electric and temperature ratings printed on the data plate located on the rear, lower right side of the unit. Incorrect operation of the equipment could result in potentially dangerous conditions. To avoid hazards and minimize risk, follow all instructions and operate the unit within the limits stated on the data plate. 5.1 Positioning Install the unit on a vibration free, level floor, with a minimum of fifteen centimeters of space on the sides, rear, and top. Refer to Section 5.3 for instructions on leveling cabinets. Allow enough clearance so that door or lid can open at least 90 degrees. Do not position the equipment in direct sunlight or near sources of heat such as diffusers, radiators etc. The ambient temperature range at the site must be 15 C to 32 o C. WARNING! Install the unit on a sturdy floor. WARNING! Never install the unit in a flammable or volatile location. This may result in fire or explosion. Never install the unit where acid or corrosive gases are present. Current leakage or electric shock may result due to corrosion.

WARNING! Do not use outdoors. Current leakage or electric shock may result if the unit is exposed to water. Never install the unit in an excessively humid environment. or where there is a high risk of being splashed. by water. Deterioration of the insulation may result which could cause current leakage or electric shock. To allow for proper air flow, a minimum of fifteen centimeters clearance is required behind the freezer. 5.2 Wiring Connect the equipment to the correct power source. Incorrect voltage can result in damage to the equipment. For personal safety and trouble-free operation, the unit must be properly grounded. Failure to ground the equipment may cause personal injury or damage to the equipment. If the power supply outlet is not grounded, it is necessary to install a ground from the ground screw located on the lower right rear side of the unit by qualified engineers. If possible, it is preferable to connect the freezer to a dedicated (separate) power supply.. Each freezer is equipped with a service cord and plug designed to connect it to a power outlet which it delivers the correct voltage. Supply voltage must within +10% to -10% of the freezer s rated voltage. Never cut or remove the grounding prong from the service cord plug. If the prong is removed, the freezer will not be properly grounded.

5.3 Leveling The unit must be level: both front to back and side to side. To level chest models, leave the casters in place and shim the wheel(s) with strips of sheet metal cut wider than the caster. Upright models have adjustable leveling feet located adjacent to the front casters. Extend the leveling feet by rotating them counterclockwise. Ensure the unit is100% level. 5.4 Door Operation (Upright Models) Opening the Door 1. Remove the padlock (Not supplied with the unit).. 2. Grasp the latch handle (preferably with your left hand) and pull it toward to you until the latch disengages from the track. 3. Keep pulling by the latch handle, or the integrated handle, to open the main door Closing the Door Note that the latch does not self-engaged automatically when you close the door. You must first push the latch to the open position. 1. Grasp the latch handle (preferably with your left hand) and pull it toward you, rotating the latch to the open position. 2. Move the freezer door to the closing position and gently push the handle away from you, making sure that the latch engages fully with the track.
