3 KINGSPAN ALBION RELIABLE HOT WATER WHY USE POINT OF USE WATER HEATERS Point of use or open-outlet water heaters are terms applied to small electric water heaters that are designed to be installed very near to the sink, basin, bath or shower outlet where the water is to be used, as opposed to a main boiler or cylinder of a central heating system. Installation costs of a single point of use units are significantly cheaper than a full central heating system and are frequently the preferred choice of employers or landlords. They offer an economical solution to ensure the employers or landlords meet their legal obligations under Welfare at Work Legislation or the Landlord and Tenant Act, to provide running hot water for hygiene purposes. A point of use unit can also be a cheap alternative to extending a domestic central heating system for a new additional bathroom or utility room. All of the water heaters in the Ultra-flow range are designed to be sited close to where the hot water is required, thus minimising distribution heat losses and enabling the right temperature to be selected for that application. We offer seven units across four different types, including wall-mounted, under sink/basin, above sink/basin and hand wash to ensure you get the right model for your requirements. 10 Hot Water Energy Storage WALL MOUNTED Our three largest point of use water heaters are wall mounted and designed to meet a significant high demand for localised hot water. Available in 30, 50 or 100 litre capacities, these units are ideal for satisfying multiple outlets and suit a wide range of applications. The 100 litre model can support up to 10 basins or 4 kitchen sinks, or even an en-suite bathroom with a small bath, shower and wash basin. The 50 litre model can support up to 5 basins or 2 kitchen sinks, or an en-suite with a shower and wash basin. The 30 litre model can support up to 3 basins or 2 kitchen sinks, or an en-suite with a shower and small basin. 10
