Each container has a serial number allowing them to be tracked if lost or stolen. DPW personnel have recorded each container number, along with the name and address of the resident. Instructions as to placement at curbside is provided in this booklet. Single Stream Manual Recycling The single stream manual curbside recycling program began July 1st, The recycling program is an every-other week program. Residents use their existing recycling containers or a trash barrel with a recycling sticker. Stickers are available at Town Hall at no cost. The recycling program allows all materials to be placed in the same container; residents will not need to separate cans, bottles, plastics, paper, cardboard, etc. This will help increase recycling at curbside. There is no limit to the number of recycling containers that can be put out during the designated week. Contact the DPW at , ext. 4120, or dpw@wakefield.ma.us if you have any questions. Recycling collection is mandatory for all residents who receive Town refuse collection. Recycling that is mixed with non-recyclables or food is contaminated and will not be collected. 1 2
