ThermoShell technology is Temperzone s new high performance, compact heat-exchanger for refrigerant and water systems. 42 ka 66% reduction Life Long Efficiency Unlike coaxial and plate-type heat exchangers, ThermoShell prevents degradation in heat transfer efficiency due to water fouling, facilitating reliable operation throughout the unit service life. ThermoShell Heat Exchanger ThermoShell enables considerably lower water flow rates and water pressure drops to be accommodated by the system, with minimal effect on duty and efficiency. This leads to a reduction in hydronic equipment size, reducing capital and operating costs. 7 Technological advancements EC Variable Speed Fans Simultaneous Cooling and Heating Temperzone s EC fan motors allow precision comfort control and leading high energy efficiency. Each unit allows a simultaneous same-floor heating and cooling capacity via a single water piping system. The water loop moves energy around a building very efficiently, with unit capacity or efficiency unaffected by the length of the loop. Chiller: Chillers must run at a minimum operation level of approx % of their total load (for a 350kW Chiller, 25% is about 88kW), leading to wastage at partial operation. HW: Maintenance costs are lower, with a simple and localised service of packaged units and controls undertaken at the tenant s expense. There is no need for complex centralised controls. The system is easy to operate and does not require a dedicated specialist. Chiller: Feature a complex system of components, controls, electrical wiring and piping that renders maintenance much more technical and costly. Chiller: A large water cooled chiller is generally located within a plant space, taking up valuable floor or parking space. Very Long Life System HW: Temperzone water-cooled systems are durable and have a long life expectancy. The system is not dependent on unique branded electronics and components. VRF: Require the use of specific technologies and systems. Due to compatibility problems with other manufacturer systems, parts must be replaced with specific product brand electronics and components. Lack of parts availability will necessitate the installation of a whole new system. Low Installation Cost HW: Featuring a simple two-pipe system, packaged units are easy to install and require very little specialist technical expertise. With water temperatures of between 26 C and 36 C, insulated water piping is not required. There are also no condensation problems. Chiller: Chiller systems require a four-pipe system - two for condenser water and two for chilled water. Chilled water pipes and pumps must be heavily insulated.
