Other no-no s include known carcinogens, neurotoxins and aquatic toxins. Buy concentrated formulas and dilute as needed, to limit plastic production and petroleum usage. Finally, use the mildest solution that will clean your dirt effectively. PPE (personal protection equipment) may be necessary for some cleaning tasks. 8 Use non-skid shoes and be careful on wet floors. Wear knee pads when scrubbing floors - otherwise you could experience pain or damage joint tissue. Lift objects to dust underneath - do not slide objects or you may scratch surfaces. Never climb higher than a two-foot step stool if you are home alone.
