One that connects all who use it, with the one true source of life on this planet a source we in Switzerland have been blessed with in great abundance. Water. Through design, through a tremendous sense of aesthetic, through precision and handcrafting, and yes, through a good deal of blood, sweat and tears, we recognized a long time ago one undeniable truth: AT KWC, OUR DESTINY WAS NEVER TO INVENT THE FAUCET, OUR DESTINY WAS TO PERFECT IT. Fortunately for us, we just happened to be genetically and geographically predisposed to creating perfection, after all, we re Swiss. It s in our DNA. And so it was, back in 1874, when KWC was founded by Adolf Karrer, that this journey of perfection would begin. Not with faucets to start, but with exquisite music boxes. Even back then, a strong sense of aesthetic had KWC creating works of art. But it was an art form that combined artistry with mechanical mastery. KWC s music boxes became famous, not only for their beauty, but for their precision and for their tremendous attention to detail. As all journeys can take interesting turns, so too would ours. Because in the late 1800 s, the demand for convenient access of water in households was growing, so much so, that soon KWC would test the waters, so to speak, and begin the production of faucets. It didn t take long before KWC s unique ability to combine artistry with mechanical mastery would set us apart. 11

These included the Hotel Ritz in Paris, the Hotel Negresco in Nice and many more. 86 KWC Shower systems Shower head with ball joint The KWC PIATTO R shower head features a practical ball joint. To avoid limescale build-up and dirt deposits, simply tilt the shower head. This allows any residual water to drain off and prevents dripping. Swivelling shower arm The swivelling shower arm can easily be swivelled to the left or to the right, giving you all-round flexibility in the shower, even in tight spaces. Water-bearing sliding wall bar The water-bearing sliding wall bar can be shortened as required. The pipe-in-pipe system ensures that it never gets too hot, which prevents scalding. Spray holder with 3D function The hand shower can be posi tioned at whatever angle you like and is guaranteed to stay firmly in place, not least thanks to the lockable elevation adjustment system. Rotatable cone KWC shower hoses come with a rotatable cone as standard. This prevents the hose from becoming twisted, even if it is moved around a lot. 86

SkinProtect KWC faucets allow you to switch easily between hot and cold water but only when you want to. Faucets with hotcontrol technology, for example, only supply water at temperatures above 38 C if you press the safety button on the temperature controller. If the cold water supply fails, the hot water flow is automat ically stopped straight away. TouchProtect The TouchProtect protection solution with its dual water guidance system ensures that you never burn your fingers on your faucet. The insulated hot water supply with a double skin principle keeps the body of the faucet warm without letting it get too hot. EcoProtect This technology keeps an eye on water consumption for you. Tangible resistance in the turning handle limits the amount of outflowing water. To switch off the economy mode, simply turn the handle back past the catch point. 89
