Labor charges for other than normal grid power usage. Ready Rack will pay for: Replacement parts and/or repair labor with prior written authorization to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Replacement parts for the heating elements if defective in materials or workmanship. Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, improper installation or installation not in accordance with local electrical and plumbing codes. Any labor costs during the limited warranty. Shipping charges for warranty parts or labor for units operated outside the Continental United States. Pickup and delivery. Repairs to parts or systems caused by unauthorized modifications made to the appliance. READY RACK DOES NOT ASSUME ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion may not apply to you. HOW TO UNDERSTAND THIS MANUAL Each field in this manual represents a different icon to help focus your attention on specific points as you see here The Safety Hazard Icon This symbol is placed whenever an issue can create a safety hazard or issue. The Reminder Icon This symbol is placed when trying to remind you about a particular procedure. The IDC TIMER Icon This symbol is used when referencing issues related to the IDC timer. 5 DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS STOP! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PROCEEDING For safe and effective shipping, your PPE drying cabinet is mounted on a pallet, with two metal mounting brackets on the rear of the cabinet that contain 2 bolts and 3 screws each, as well as a 2x4 wood block bracing the front of the cabinet. We recommend that at least 2 people be used to off load the drying cabinet. This prevents damage to the product as well as yourself. The drying cabinet is quite heavy so it is recommended that you take the panel doors off. This is a very simple process and it will make the drying cabinet easier to dismount from the shipping pallet and easier to place the cabinet in the desired location. TO DISMOUNT THE DRYING CABINET: DO NOT REMOVE the 2x4 wood block! Step 1: Remove the shipping brackets from the pallet. (See figure 1) Step 2: Remove doors, to reduce the weight of the cabinet. (See figure 2) Step 3: Empty all the contents of the Drying Cabinet. Step 4: Remove the drying cabinet from the rear of the skid with at least 2 people. 6 OPERATING PROCEDURES RR_ControlOverylayLabel_LARGE.pdf 1 1/9/17 1:19 PM Three Simple Steps: START Step 1 RR_ControlOverylayLabel_LARGE.pdf 1 1/9/17 1:19 PM The first step is to touch the hour and minute buttons to select the desired drying or fan run time. The timer may be adjusted during run times. Step 2 Set the temperature by pressing the blue button. The LED light will display the selected temperature and it can be adjusted while the IDC is running. RR_ControlOverylayLabel_LARGE.pdf 1 1/9/17 1:19 PM Step 3 Press the start button to start the cycle. After the drying process is complete, the timer will read 0:00. The cabinet control panel will then begin the cool down process. The Drying Cabinet will automatically shut off when the cool down is complete. (See next page for details on this process). Simple Steps: FINISH Once the timer stops, the fan will continue to until the cabinet reaches a temperature below 105 degrees. Please note: There is no exact time for the cool down process, the ambient temperature plays a factor in the duration of the cool down. Press the button TWICE while the dryer is off. *This cannot be activated while the dryer is on. OPTION 1: This option put the dryer in continuous mode. This option will put the drying cabinet in a non-timed mode. OPTION 2: This option will turn the sound of the drying cabinet TIMER off. Once selected press the minute button to turn OFF or ON. Press the Logo button once again to exit. * Please note that the menu options go from 1-5. Options 3-5 are only default fields and have no relevance. 6

7 USE AND CARE Locking the cabinet: Your cabinet has a feature that can safe guard your product. KEY INCLUDED Drainage There is a hole placed in the bottom of the drying cabinet that is connected to the drain which leads out to the back of the drying cabinet. Please keep this are clear for any obstructions. Power Supply: The Ready Rack drying cabinet runs on /240V 60 Hz 40A. single phase. Please note that the motor and the heating elements do not run from a lower voltage. Your unit is shipped with a pig-tail. Please ensure you use a qualified electrician. Please always disconnect unit when servicing repairing or cleaning. Be aware of the proper voltage when plugging in the unit. CLEANING THE CABINET We recommend that keeping your cabinet clean will prevent the buildup of contaminants that may affect the life of your product. We recommend that you use soap and water or light duty household cleaners when cleaning the cabinet. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners! Recommended Soap Multipurpose cleaners Sponges Damp cloth or rag LEVELING THE CABINET Leveling feet are at the corners of the base of the cabinet. In order to account for uneven surfaces and keep the doors level and true, minor adjustments may need to be made to the feet once the cabinet is in its final location. The base of the foot can be adjusted using a 7/8 open end wrench, the jamb nut can also be used to turn the foot using a 5/8 open end wrench. 7

8 ACCESSORY OPTIONS Air Flow Glove Hanger (827128) AFGH 52 x 3 3/4 x 10 Designed to hang gloves, up to thirteen pairs, primarily used for firefighters turnout gear. (1) comes complete with the drying cabinet. Air Flow Boot Hanger (827130) AFBH 7 1/2 x 3 1/8 x 58 Designed to accommodate three sets of boots. (2) come complete with the drying cabinet. Air Flow Coat Hanger (827120) AFCH 22 1/4 x 3 1/8 x 8 5/8 This item is designed to dry firefighters Turnout Gear coats. (4) come complete with the drying cabinet. Please see Ready Rack for any items that this manual may not cover (including the Ready Rack MHD-42 Hose Drying Rack and the product that is listed below). Hose Drying Shelf (827125) This item adds versatility to the Ready Rack Gear Dryer especially for items that are not recommended to be hung dried. The shelf is an additional accessory which is not included in the Ready Rack standard package. 8

9 TROUBLESHOOTING Your Ready Rack product was built with the user in mind for simple operation and end-user maintenance. Below are suggested guidelines on how troubleshoot basic problems that can go wrong. Don t attempt to troubleshoot the heating element with unit attached to an active power source. Remember to inspect your product for any foreign debris to make sure this is not causing a malfunction or safety hazard. PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION My items take too long to dry. The control panel will not work properly. The cabinet will not drain. Accessories will not fit, or will not function correctly. Improper heat setting. Items have a high moisture content. One or both of the heating elements are not heating properly. Not connected to a power source. Loose connection or wire on the control panel. Drain hole clogged. Corrosion in the drain hole. Metal bent at the end of the drain hole. Attaching points may be bent. Select a higher heat setting Ensure that the proper amperage is listed on the power socket. May have a low supply voltage. Call Ready Rack for proper heating element troubleshooting. Ensure that a proper electrical connection exists. check power supple and circuit breaker. Disconnect power supply from the cabinet, wait two minutes and then reconnect. Call us if problem still exists. Run a coat-hanger like rod into the drain from inside the cabinet and from the rear of the cabinet into the drain fitting. Ensure that the drain fitting is not pinched or clogged. Pour 1-2 ounces of liquid drain cleaner into cabinet and follow the manufacturer s instruction. The rear tab of the hanger must be placed on the outside of the hanging point 9

10 ERROR CODES E01: If you get this error code it means that the Ready Rack drying cabinet has a heating element that is not heating fast enough please start and try again. E02: This error code means that the themo-disc has tripped. This means that the temperature has been offset. E03: This means that there is a read error, and it is important to call Ready Rack for this issue. E04: The thermocouple is reading to high of a temperature. If you get one of these errors call Ready Rack, you may also get a message that reads: Call Manufacturer. PARTS (CABINET) 10
