Dishwasher Operating Instructions Select green button on, and then wash Select red button off to shut off

6 *These are just some ideas/suggestions as to what the Dos and Don ts section of the Safety Binders can be filled with. Eliminate any items you deem unnecessary and add any items that may be missing. Changing a light bulb: If you can safely change it yourself, then do so. If you are unable to reach it or do not know where the light bulbs are kept, call a supervisor. If you do not know how to change the long fluorescent bulbs, contact a supervisor. Unclogging a toilet: If you clog the toilet and a plunger is available, first try to unclog it yourself. If no plunger is available, ask where one can be found. If you are unable to unclog it, notify a supervisor. If you come across a clogged toilet and do not feel comfortable unclogging it yourself, notify a supervisor. If a snake is available and you know how to use it, try to unclog it. Trash: If you see a piece of trash on the floor, pick it up and throw it away. If the trash anywhere in the program is full, tie it up and take it out to the trash can. Washing machine/dryer: If you are unsure of how to work either one, call a supervisor. Read all instructions before putting any liquids (detergent, fabric softener) into the machine (i.e. do not put liquid fabric softeners into the dryer vent). Empty the dryer vent between each use. Dishes: If you use a dish, clean it and put it away right after using it. If dirty dishes are piled in the sink, wash them or put them in the dishwasher. If clean dishes are in the dishwasher/drying rack, put them away. Floors: If a floor is dirty, clean it. If you are unsure of what cleaning agents should be used to do so, call a supervisor. Microwave: If the food you heat up spills or leaves any residue, clean it up. Tabletops/countertops: After each meal, wipe down tabletops and counters. Dusting: If there is noticeable dust on furniture, dust using the appropriate cleaning supplies.

12 The furnace is located in basement hallway, second door on the left Water shut off locations: Switch to shut off the main water is behind furnace. Each bathroom has secondary water shut off values under the sinks and in the toilet stalls.

Call the Plumber directly (ONLY in event of an emergency and you can t get a hold of John Rogers): Eddie at AES Mechanical Remember to submit a Maintenance Request stating you called Plumber for a specific emergency

Call George Burke directly (ONLY in event of an emergency and you can t get a hold of John Rogers).

19 All small appliances are in the kitchen COFFEE POT Ensure to turn off the coffee pot BLENDER Select stir, chop, mix, puree, liquefy, pulse, or ice crush Select off to turn off MICROWAVE Select time, or use minute plus button, then press start cook Can adjust power level, or use cook, defrost, reheat, melt, soften, warm options TOASTER Turn round knob to desired temperature (1-9) Select nothing to toast, or if different setting desired select defrost, bagel or reheat Lower rectangular knob until it stays at bottom, item is now toasting To stop toasting, press cancel button Clean the toaster tray after each use

Stove Information Oven- back panel, select cook time, then cook method (bake, broil, slow cook, warm and hold), use up and down arrows to select temperature Light switch and fan are on knob to the front right of hood There are five burners on stove (front left, back left, center, front right, back right) controlled by knobs on the front panel. Turn knob to lite then to desired flame lever (low, medium, high)

21 Each radiator has a knob on it to control the heat in the individual rooms. Radiator/heat shut off- basement hallway ceiling between dining room and kitchen, two switches shut off all radiators If service is needed, submit a maintenance request on Facilities website. If it is an emergency, notify John Rogers, Director of Facilities at (617) x2400 or him at jrogers@crj.org, and also submit a Maintenance Request If you can t get a hold of John Rogers and it is an Emergency, call: Eddie at AES Mechanical ; a Maintenance Request must be submitted stating you called the contractor to address a specific emergency issue.

25 How to fill out a Facilities Request: Initial Steps to access the CRJ Facilities website and submit a maintenance request: 1. Go to the CRJ Website 2. Click on Staff Area in the upper left hand corner 3. Type in user name and password (see your Supervisor if you do not have or can t remember user name/password) 4. Click on Facilities Area

Location select from the drop down men box 3. Prioritization check box 4. Maintenance Use drop down and select, exterior or interior of building 5. Description describe the issue as detailed as possible 6. Review notes then click submit
