Mounting Bracket A unique easy leveling low profile mounting bracket comes standard with Cumberland Radiant Brooders. This allows the brooder to be winched 3 1/2" closer to the roof of the house. A wide variety of control options are available to suit your individual need. See control specifications below. Radiant Heat The 60 stainless steel emitter angle, combined with spun-steel canopy, radiates heat where it's needed most for optimal bird comfort. This large radiant heat pattern established at floor level means a low-cost and extremely efficient heating alternative Specially engineered spun steel canopy is standard. This 24 volt AC zone type control can also operate on 12 volt DC as backup. The gas valve includes a built-in regulator. A 24 volt power supply is required. Brooder can be operated by 24 volt thermostat, computer or environmental controller. 100% gas safety shut-off valve. Stainless steel emitter assembly is fully insulated and enclosed. Before heating the air, radiant warmth is aimed directly towards the birds and litter area where it's needed most. This warmth at floor level helps keep the litter area dry and keep ammonia levels lower. To save fuel, heat is trapped and recycled by creating a thermal reservoir in the litter area. Enclosed Insulation Cumberland's fully insulated and enclosed stainless steel emitter is assembled so the insulation will withstand the tough operating conditions found in poultry houses. Also with this design, the heat loss back through the emitter that can occur over time can be prevented. S.I.T. controller conversion between non-modulating and modulating operation is a simple task requiring only the change of a screw. 4 Cumberland PuraFire Heaters The Pure Choice for Consistent Heating LOW MAINTENANCE, ALL GALVANIZED CONSTRUCTION With one of the lowest carbon monoxide outputs in the industry (CO emissions of 5 parts per million), Cumberland s PuraFire Heaters are available in three models: the variable output C80 (40,000 to 80,000 BTUH), the C225 (225,000 BTUH), and the variable output C225M (140,000 to 225,000 BTUH). Each heater is LP or natural gas compatible and can be mounted inside or outside any house. These heaters are constructed of tough, rust-resistant galvanized steel for long life and durability. The motor assembly, blower, gas valve, control panel and other components are protected from moisture, dirt and dust. Swinging doors on each side give easy access to all working parts, making replacement and field service a breeze. The matchless heater PuraFire s fast-acting 24 volt electronic ignition energizes in just ten seconds. This eliminates unpredictable pilot light flames, as well as the inconvenience of having to clean pilots or restart them with a match. 5 Cumberland "Radiant Tube" Heater Patented Two-Stage Burner The unique two stage burner adapts to varying conditions providing a more consistent comfort zone with fewer off cycles. Units operate at low fire the majority of the time for improved energy efficiency. High fire mode provides reserve heating capability when conditions require. Heavy duty control and burner unit in stainless steel enclosure, using outside air for combustion. Re-Verber-Ray Infra-red Getting heat where you want it can be difficult. One way is to use Re-Verber-Ray Infra-red by Cumberland. Infra-red heat emulates the true efficiency of the sun. It generates energy that is converted into heat when absorbed by objects like floors and animals. The energy is then re-radiated to warm the surrounding area by convection. This is the most efficient method of heating many poultry facilities. Allowing heat to be directed straight to the birds allows them to find their own comfort zone either closer to or farther away from the heater according to their preference.
