Drawing on these years of technological innovation, Smeg is proud to launch its new range of intelligent dishwashers, for a smarter, cleaner and greener wash.

4 SMARTER Smeg s Aquatest is a turbidity sensor, available in the Tall Tank models, which measures solids suspended in water, and adjusts the water flow according to the amount of soiling. This saves both water and energy, whilst ensuring a hygienic clean on every wash. Smeg s new dishwashers have a very easy-to-use control panel. At the touch of a button, you can select the program which is most suitable for your wash, whether you re washing delicate glassware, heavily soiled pans, or both. You can also choose options for each wash program; for example, to speed up the cycle, to select a high-temperature hygienic wash, to opt for a half load, an intensive and fast load, or a fully automatic program where the dishwasher adjusts according to the load. Very clever indeed. Smeg s dishwashers have always been admired for being quiet. Smeg has again improved tank design, developed vibration-limiting plinths, and redesigned the internal hydraulic system so that the dishwashers are quieter on every wash. Self-balancing hinges ensure that the door remains open at any position. CLEANER Smeg s unique orbital wash system with aerodynamically designed wash arms means water from each of the three spray systems covers every part of the dishwasher. Smeg s spray arms work in all directions for more thorough coverage around and in-between the wash. Smeg s five-stage filtration system means food debris is quickly captured and doesn t re-enter the wash, so your dishes are always cleansed with clean water. Smeg s Hyclean option gives you complete peace of mind. With a wash temperature of 70 C, 99.9% of bacteria is eliminated for a sterile wash. GREENER Some dishwashers have good water-saving properties. Some have good energy saving properties. Smeg dishwashers have both. All 14 placesetting dishwashers have a 3½ Star Energy Rating and a 4½ Star Water Rating. All 15 placesetting dishwashers have a 4 Star Energy Rating and a 5 Star Water Rating. Smeg s years of experience in specialist cleansing and disinfecting equipment also means that this greener platform has been achieved without the need to recycle water, so you re always getting a cleaner, more hygienic result. Smeg s Enersave also goes one step further to reduce energy consumption. This option reduces the temperature of final rinse, saving energy. It is activated after selecting the desired program by pressing the button (indicator lights). Moderately increases the duration of the cycle. On certain models, the door opens automatically at the end of the cycle, allowing steam to escape, and the load to dry more efficiently, with limited use of heating. Once again, Smeg s greener technology does not compromise on performance.

6 NEW HYDRAULIC SYSTEM Smeg s new hydraulic system has been engineered to reach top performance in energy, water consumption and noise level, and extensive research has been carried out to achieve the optimum results, which consist of the following: the new hydraulics are installed on the inside of the machine, thus reducing the length of the pipes (minimising water and energy consumption), producing better noise insulation, and reducing potential leak points, ie any leakage would be on the inside of the machine. It is also far easier to maintain; new material and shape of the orbital wash arms for a more efficient washing effect; and the newly-designed base of the tank has a higher inclination that allows water to run away more easily, including any food particles which may be present. LOWER BASKET The new lower basket has been designed to be EasyGlide, with vertical plate supports, a removable cutlery basket which slides easily from side to side and which has removable cutlery separater lids. Some dishwasher models include back glass supports. All models include a new ergonomic high front handle with comfortable grip. CUTLERY TRAY The perfect format for washing your cutlery hygienically and safely, and also for those awkward items such as soup ladles and carving knives.

7 What s different? TOP BASKET Fitted with the EasyGlide system, and easily adjustable on both sides to three heights, even with a full load. Up to 18.5cm diameter plates can be loaded in all models in the top basket. ANTI-DRIP INSERTS This deceptively-simple device lifts your plates from the wire basket, ensuring that they are fully dried by allowing the air to circulate more freely water droplets do not pool on the bottom surface of the plate. ORBITAL WASH SYSTEM The orbital wash system three aerodynamic wash arms and a multi-directional ceiling rose ensures the small amount of water is efficiently used to produce a clean wash result. Water is sprayed in six directions, giving a thorough and very hygienic wash to your entire load. The base arm rotates and its satellite spins 10 times faster. EXCLUSIVE WASHING SYSTEMS Orbital system The orbital system characterises the new range of 60cm and 90cm models. Two spray arms operate simultaneously in opposite directions to ensure water is evenly distributed throughout the inner cavity for a perfect wash. Third spray arm An additional spray arm, located in the upper part of the dishwasher, optimises the supply of water for dishwashing by distributing it more evenly throughout the machine. SHUTTLE SYSTEM Shuttle system This Smeg-patented system is installed in 45cm dishwashers. It consists of a lower arm that moves in a shuttle action along the bottom of the dishwasher. A spray arm is affixed to the lower arm to provide optimal water distribution, thus ensuring perfect dishwashing results with low water and energy consumption. OPTIMISATION OF WASHING TIME Smeg offers different programs for achieving better results in less time, without loss of wash quality. The QuickTime option helps reduce dishwashing time by up to 55%. Used in combination with the Super program, very dirty dishes can be washed in less than one hour. 27 min The Ultrafast program has been developed especially for slightly dirty dishes that are to be washed immediately after use. This program takes only 27 minutes. QuickTime Delay Delay Start option allows for up to 24-hours delay start allowing you to take advantage of off-peak energy usage times. The innovative Fast and Intensive program has been included in selected models, in addition to the standard washing programs. This program takes 50 minutes and removes heavy dirt with a 70 wash temperature.

These very quiet and reliable dishwashers by Smeg are the best choice for your kitchen. 15 PLACESETTINGS 14 PLACESETTINGS 10 PLACESETTINGS The main features are a third top basket created for cutlery and long kitchen utensils, a redesigned upper basket with the EasyGlide system and a 3-level height adjustment, and a fully-adjustable lower basket with tilting racks and inserts to support cups and glasses. All three baskets have handles. Designed to optimise a load, these models can save up to 20% on both water and energy consumption. The new upper basket can be automatically adjusted on three levels, even when the basket is loaded, to allow plates of up to 30cm diameter to be placed below; the lower basket includes a number of adjustable sections. An ideal solution for small kitchens, or where space is limited. With a capacity of just ten placesettings, these machines allow smaller daily wash cycles to be run efficiently. The top covers on the cutlery basket can be easily adjusted on either side to provide extra space in the centre to place larger items. EASE OF USE balanced door The new self-balancing hinges fitted to the dishwasher doors ensure that the door stays open at all angles, whatever position is chosen, allowing easy loading and unloading sliding cutlery basket The top and mid-level 60cm models include a newly designed cutlery basket that slides from side to side so that optimum use can be made of the available space in the lower basket.

10 SPECIAL WASHING PROGRAMS Flexi Tabs Hyclean Auto AquaTest Ideally suited for use with washing tablets. The Flexitabs option optimises the wash using the best features of combined tablets. Hyclean mode is compatible with most programs with temperature more than 50 C. 99.9% of bacteria are eliminated due to high water temperature (70 C) and longer washing time. The Glass program is specifically developed for delicate dishes and glasses for a gentle, yet effective wash at temperatures C. The Auto program is designed for very dirty dishes. Better results are achieved due to automatic turbidity sensor (senses dirt particles in water). Aquatest uses a turbidity sensor to measure suspended solids in water. This system ensures minimum water and energy consumption, regardless of the level of soiling. ½ 27 min Flexi Zone QuickTime Delay The new half-load FlexiZone allows you to wash a reduced load, saving energy, water and time, and there are no restrictions on where the items are placed. Traditional half loads allow only one of the baskets to be used. QuickTime allows you to shorten the washing time to suit your needs. When selected with any program, this function can reduce the wash time by 55% by using higher temperatures together with an intense mechanical spray action. Delay Start option allows use of the dishwasher to suit the user s needs, such as off-peak. The timer can be set from 1 to 24 hours, and thanks to the automatic soak, perfect cleaning performances are guaranteed. Speedy 27 minutes an intense wash in just 27 minutes. Intensive and Fast a special program to wash a dirty load in less than one hour. ABSOLUTE COMFORT EnerSave Enersave This option reduces the temperature of final rinse, saving energy. Acquastop Acquastop is a water safety device that operates when the dishwasher is not in operation by restricting mains pressure at the tap, and not at the dishwasher.
