3 Environment Residual paint should be sprayed onto newspaper, allowed to dry and disposed of via domestic waste collections. Empty aerosol cans are recyclable via steel can recycling programs. Do not pour unwanted paint down the drain. Keep unwanted paint in sealed containers for disposal via special chemical waste collections. Empty paint containers should be left open in a well ventillated area to dry out. When dry, recycle steel containers via steel recycling programs. Disposal of empty paint containers via domestic recycling programs may differ between local authorities. Check with your local council first. Preparation Remove all rust and flaking paint back to bare metal with a wire brush, scraper or mechanical sander. The surface must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, rust scale and other contaminants. Cover all necessary areas to protect from overspray. 4 Application 1. Shake can vigorously for 1 minute before use and regularly during use. 2. Hold the can upright approximately cm from the surface. 3. Press button firmly and spray with a smooth sweeping motion. Apply a prewetting mist coat followed by a full even coat, overlapping each spray pass. To prevent paint sagging, avoid spraying too close to the surface or spraying too heavily. 4. Repeat if necessary. Do not use when air or surface temperature is below 15 C or above 30 C. 1. Stir thoroughly with a broad flat stirrer in a circular lifting motion for at least 5 minutes before use and continue to stir at regular intervals during application. 2.
