The deltclim CoolWll principle The deltclim CoolWll consists of wll with cooling nd filter module encompssing seprte control nd specil energy-sving EC fns. The fns ensure tht the required ir flow is estblished behind the cooling wll. They force nd filter the hot ir out of the computer room through the cooling wll, conveying the cold ir through the double floor bck to the rcks. In the contrry lyout, the ir flow selectively expels hot ir through the double floor nd feeds in cold ir through the cooling wll. The generous het exchnge surfces men tht higher wter tempertures cn lso be employed. This enbles the extended exploittion of externl ir during opertion with indirect free cooling. The wrm room concept involves the introduction of cooled ir into the double floor nd its conveynce vi the perforted double floor pltes to the rck suction points. The cooling ir flows through the server cbinet t temperture (for exmple) between 20 nd 26 C, bsorbs the het present nd returns to the circuit vi the cooling wll. Air conveynce is reversed in the cold room concept. The ir is fed into the room through the cooling wll nd suctioned into the server. It bsorbs the het present here nd returns to the circuit vi the double floor. At this, the complete room ppers s compenstion room nd the IT stff is working in cooled environment. The deltclim CoolWll not only represents spce-sving solution becuse n ir-conditioning cbinet is no longer required. Its instlltion is lso completely flexible nd, consequently, cn be dpted to suit ny room rchitecture. Different lyouts cn, in principle, be relised in ll conceivble vrints nd dimensions. The cooling surfces of the deltclim CoolWll consist of modulr components in two sizes (2,400 mm x 1,200 mm nd 2,400 mm x 1,800 mm). This mens tht the entire wll surfce of every computer room cn be fitted, regrdless of the room size. Single-sided instlltion The computer room is supplied vi deltclim CoolWll t the end wll. Double-sided instlltion The computer room is supplied vi two deltclim CoolWll t both end wlls. Seven precision ir-conditioner units with service ccess nd, lterntively, deltclim CoolWll nd 42 fns in the double floor were instlled long the front wll on n instlltion surfce of 20 m x 2 m in computer room with width of 20 m, length of 50 m nd height of 2.6 m (bove the double floor). The het exchngers re fed with cooling wter with supply temperture of 10 C nd return temperture of 15 C. The ir intke temperture in the het exchngers is 30 C. The cooling cpcity ws clculted with the sme temperture difference for both exmples, while it ws ssumed tht n ir-conditioner unit is instlled for plnt opertion (i.e. only six units were included in the clcultion). The result The lrger het exchnge surfce enbled the deltclim CoolWll to chieve prcticlly twice the specific cooling cpcity in the sme re when compred with conventionl precision ir-conditioner units. The deltclim CoolWll cn dissipte round 1.9 kw per m² re, while the precision ir-conditioner units cn only brely mnge 1 kw.
