3 Removal and installation of floor frame assembly (PC220-H1H0-924-K-00-A) k Park the machine on a level ground, lower the work equipment to the ground, and stop the engine. k Release the remaining pressure in the hydraulic circuit. For details, see Testing and adjusting, "Releasing remaining pressure from hydraulic circuit". k Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. k If you drain the coolant or disconnect the heater hose when the radiator coolant temperature is high, you may be scalded. In such case, wait until the coolant temperature lowers and then drain the coolant or disconnect the heater hose. k If refrigerant gas (R134a) gets in your eyes, you may lose your sight. And if it touches your skins, you may suffer from frostbite. Accordingly, put on the protective eyeglasses, gloves and working suits with long sleeves while you are collecting or filling refrigerant (R134a). 3. Remove the operator's cab assembly. For details, see "Removal and installation of operator's cab assembly". 4. Collect the refrigerant (air conditioner gas: R134a) from the air conditioner circuit. [*1] 5. Remove covers (3) and (4). a Never release the refrigerant (R134a) to the atmosphere. a Ask a qualified person for collecting, adding, and filling operations of the refrigerant (R134a). a Note the connector numbers and installed positions before disconnecting wiring and hoses. 6. Disconnect ground cable (5). a Fit a plug or flange to the disconnected hydraulic hose ends to prevent oil from flowing out. Removal (PC160-H1H0-520-K-00-A) 1. Remove undercover (1). 2. Open drain valve (2) and drain the coolant. 6 Radiator: 23.5 l 7. Disconnect the following PPC hoses from the travel PPC valve. 4 9. Disconnect the following PPC hoses from the PPC valve. Hose color (12): Yellow Hose color (13): None a Prepare a container to receive drained oil. 10.Disconnect connectors P14 (14) and P15 (15). 11.Disconnect connectors V30 (16) and P13 (17). a The following figure shows the machines equipped with attachment. 16.Disconnect connector P17 (22). a Cut all the cable ties that are fixing the wiring harness and floor frame. 17.Disconnect hose (23). a Confirm the destinations of hoses in advance. a Plug the hoses. 18.Disconnect heater hose (24). [*2] a Confirm the destinations of hoses in advance. 19.Remove mounting bolt (25) and clamp (26), and disconnect air conditioner tube (27). [*3] 20.Remove clamps (28) and (29). 21.Disconnect clamp (30). (Machines equipped with attachment) 12.Disconnect ground cable (18). The ground cables are T04, T05, T06, T07, T09, and T10 from the left. 13.Disconnect clamp (19). 14.Disconnect connectors A08 (20), A41 (31), and A42 (32) from the clip. 15.Disconnect hose (21). a Confirm the destinations of hoses in advance. a Plug the hoses. a Disconnect work equipment PPC hoses (21a) from the junction block. 5 23.Disconnect connectors H14 (35), H15 (36), and H16 (37). 27.Disconnect work equipment PPC valve hoses (42) to (49) from junction block (41). 24.Disconnect ground cable T01 (38). 25.Disconnect all clamps that fasten main harness (39) to the floor frame. a Separate the pump controller assembly and main wiring harness from the floor frame and move them toward the boom. a The band color of the hoses are as shown below. 6 Refilling of air conditioner compressor oil See "Filling of compressor oil" of "Others". Refilling with coolant Refill the radiator with coolant to the specified level through the water filler port. Run the engine to circulate the coolant. Then check the coolant level again. Reference: Precautions for removing work equipment control lever Push lock (53) of plastic frame (52) in boot (51) with a flat-head screwdriver, etc., and remove boot (51) from console plastic cover (54). a If you pull a portion other than lock (53) of plastic frame (52), you may break plastic frame (52). 5 Radiator: 23.5 l [*2] a When installing the heater core hose, install it so that the white line (mark) on the heater hose becomes a straight line to avoid any twist of the heater hose. [*3] a When installing the air conditioner piping, be careful not to allow invasion of dirt, dusts and water into the hose. a Check that the O-rings are fitted to the joints when connecting the air conditioner piping. a Once an O-ring is used, it is deformed and deteriorated. Accordingly, do not reuse it. a When removing the O-rings, use a soft tool so that the piping is not damaged. a Check that the O-ring is not damaged or deteriorated. a Apply compressor oil (DENSO: ND-OIL8) for refrigerant (R134a) to O-ring. 3 Hose clamp (M6 bolt) (width across flats): 8 to 12 Nm {0.8 to 1.2 kgm} Installation (PC160-H1H0-720-K-00-A) Perform installation in the reverse order of removal. [*1] Filling of refrigerant (air conditioner gas: R134a) Refill the air conditioner circuit with refrigerant (air conditioner gas: R134a). a Refill amount: 910 ± 50 g Reference: Precautions for installation cab mount a Since different dampers are installed to different locations, record their identification seals when removing them. 8 Removal and installation of air conditioner unit assembly (PC220-K K-00-A) k Park the machine on a level ground, swing the upper structure by 90 deg., lower the work equipment to the ground stably, and stop the engine. k Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key. k If you drain the coolant or disconnect the heater hose when the coolant temperature is high, you may be scalded. In this case, wait until the coolant temperature lowers and then drain the coolant or disconnect the heater hose. 6 Radiator: 23.5 l 3. Pull up front window assembly (1) to the ceiling and lock it. a Make sure that the assembly is certainly locked. 4. Remove front lower window (2). 5. Remove floor mat (3). k If refrigerant gas (R134a) gets in your eyes, you may lose your sight. And if it touches your skins, you may suffer from frostbite. Accordingly, put on the protective eyeglasses, gloves and working suits with long sleeves while you are collecting or filling the refrigerant (R134a). a Never release the refrigerant (R134a) to the atmosphere. a Ask a qualified person for collecting, adding, and filling operations of the refrigerant (R134a). a Note connector numbers and installed positions before disconnecting wiring and hoses. a Positions of the controllers are shown below. A: Pump controller assembly B: Air conditioner controller assembly C: KOMTRAX terminal controller assembly 6. Remove box (8) (5 bolts). a Disconnect the hose at the bottom of box (8). 7. Remove box (9) (3 bolts). a Be careful about connectors (10) and (11) located behind box (9). (Machines equipped with 12 V power socket) Connector (10): 12 V power socket intermediate harness (M13A) Connector (11): 12 V power socket intermediate harness (M13B) 8. Pull cover (12) (3 bolts) upward to remove it. a Be careful not to catch the connectors and harnesses on the back. Removal (PC160-K K-00-A) 1. Collect the refrigerant (air conditioner gas: R134a) from the air conditioner circuit. [*1] a Refrigerant to be collected: 910 ± 50 g 2. Drain the coolant. PC170LC
