A very common application in practice today is drying all the compressed air going to production to -40 F / -40 C then delivering the dry air to all the production processes regardless of actual need. 1.Do you know how much this common application costs in operating energy annually? 2.Lost pressure annually? 3.Lost compressed air annually (purge air)? 9 Establishing the Energy Cost Establishing the energy cost of producing compressed air used for purge and pressure produced but LOST.
