UPZ PUMP POWER FOR TOP PERFORMANCE UNDER THE TOUGHEST CONDITIONS UPZ is top choice wherever submersible borehole pumps have to satisfy the most exacting demands on capacity, discharge head and operating reliability. Operators originally mainly used this type of pump for extracting water from deep wells. But now continuous development and technical progress have opened up a host of new applications. Materials have been developed for high-stress components, ensuring virtually wear-free pump operation for long periods. At the same time, the power and reliability of the fully immersed electric motors have risen continuously. Access to pumps installed in such applications is extremely difficult. 2 UPZ Submersible borehole pump High operating reliability and long service life The double-entry design with backto-back impellers enables low flow velocities, while ensuring full balancing of hydraulic thrust. This considerably reduces the load on the thrust bearing. The ingenious design principle allows high discharge heads at high flow rates. Other factors designed to achieve high operating reliability and a long service life are the check valve with anti-blockage check plate, designed to close quickly and silently, the dynamically balanced, smoothly running rotor, and the wear-resistant casing and impeller wear rings. Particularly suitable for installation in narrow deep wells. Low maintenance and optimised operating costs Impellers can be turned down, so that pump performance can be exactly matched to head requirements in the system. Impellers are fixed with keys for reliable power transmission. Drive Water filled KSB wet submersible motor in squirrel cage design, 2 and 4 pole AC (3 ~). For voltages up to U = V. The filling water is used for the bearing lubrication and for the cooling of the water tight insulation. Cooling is enhanced with an integrated circulation pump. The shaft is sealed with andguarded radial shaft seal rings and/or an mechanical seal. The motor is equipped with an diaphragm to compensate for pressure differences between motor and the surrounding area. The motor is designed in accordance with IEC and VDE standards. Electrical Connection The motors are usually equipped ex works with 1 or 2 short cables. Connection of extension cable by means of a waterproof cable connector.
