Please keep in mind that watering earlier in the day will reduce the amount of evaporation that occurs. *Swimming pool draining regulation City of Coalinga (559) Stage 2 Key Water Conservation Measures The following water conservation measures are needed to make the most of our water supply, which has been reduced by 37% because of the drought. More than 70% of our annual water use takes place outside the home. 1. There shall be no water hose washing of sidewalks, walkways, driveways,parking areas, patios, porches or verandas. 2. Outdoor watering for lawns and gardens is restricted to the following schedule: a. No outdoor watering on Sunday, Monday and Thursday. b. No outdoor watering between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m Sunday - Saturday. c. Even addresses outdoor watering is allowed on Tuesday and Friday. d. Odd addresses and non-residential customers (irrespective of addressoutdoor watering is allowed on Wednesday and Saturday. 3. Emptying your swimming pool requires permission and will only be granted onetime during a 12-month period. 4. The use of a water hose for outdoor watering with a shut-off valve shall be permitted at any time. 5. Failure to follow these measures and the other measures in the City s Water Conservation Ordinance will lead to an initial warning and then monetary fine and up to City of Fowler (559) *free water conservation kits
2 *Exceed the Governor s recommended conservation levels by reducing overall consumption by 25%. *20 gallon challenge: Spring/Summer Watering Schedule. Between March 1st and November 30th, no watering shall occur on Mondays or between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on any day. (i) Customers with odd-numbered street addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 are allowed to water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. (ii) Customers with even-numbered street addresses ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 are allowed to water on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Winter Watering Schedule. Between December 1st and the last day of February, watering is allowed anytime of the day on the allowed watering day. (i) Customers with odd-numbered street addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 are allowed to water on Saturdays only. (ii) Customers with even-numbered street addresses ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 are allowed to water on Sundays only. ODD numbered addresses (ending in 1,3,5,7 or 9) may water/irrigate landscaping on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays of each week between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. b. EVEN numbered addresses (ending in 0,2,4,6, or 8) may water/irrigate landscaping on Wednesday, Fridays, and Sundays between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. c.
