2 Two decades after it opened as the first tented camp upstream from Victoria Falls our Houses continue to pay homage to the architectural design that has made Tongabezi a style maker: eclectic design The Honeymoon House was our first foray into building exclusively with romance and indulgence in mind. Here, a private balcony overlooking the river will provide the perfect setting for a romantic dinner under the stars, but guest may also opt to dine on one of the riverfront decks, in the Lookout or the Hangout or book an exclusive Sampan on the Zambezi. How about.. a hot, open air, claw-footed bubble bath, a cool tall drink, a magnificent sun setting over the Zambezi, and a stately owl keeping watch from the branches of a tree? If this scenario has your heart atwitter then you simply have to stay in the Bird House open or closed? The Tree House has been cleverly built into the cliff front. Enjoy dinner at eye level with the Fish Eagles on the elevated deck or wander over for a shower that is so close to the river you might spot the eagle s dinner swimming around! This house is reached via a stone path that winds along the cliff face. Truly secluded and generously proportioned it is the ultimate private retreat and the only truly open House at Tongabezi. a play house for grown-ups

4 vivid vistas The Nut House is an enclosed house with a private plunge pool built entirely from and furnished with local materials. Uniquely designed to complement and enhance the natural surroundings this house really creates a feeling of intimacy and privacy. At the very bottom of the garden standing with stilted feet on the shores of the Zambezi (during high water the river actually flows beneath the rooms) the brand new Dog House was designed to allow small groups to travel together with three separate buildings connected via raised walkways. The House features two splendid, large en-suite suites with a central living area and dining room, plenty of space for relaxation and an infinity plunge pool. Zambezi bathing Families now also have the option of staying in exclusive style at Tongabezi with our fabulous Garden House Here, your family can enjoy two full size, ensuite rooms with a king size bed and twin beds. The garden is enclosed and features a private plunge pool. Special activities and meals for younger guests can be arranged by your personal valet. enclosed bliss

5 details & notes All our Houses feature king-size beds, complete with luxurious down pillows and duvet, and a magnificent, airy mosquito net with temperature control so your sleeping comfort is assured. Every House (except the Tree House) has wood and glass folding doors that can fully enclose the bedroom if guests wish. Stunning views over the Zambezi River are guaranteed and attention has been paid to the bathroom areas with luxurious baths where guests can unwind after a day s activities to the serenades of an African evening. Each house has a private balcony or deck overlooking the river (the Garden House faces onto its own private walled garden) creating the perfect setting for a candlelit dinner under the stars. Every room at Tongabezi has a valet assigned to it who will look after our guests throughout their stay (the Dog House also has a private guide, boat and vehicle). A wonderful way to see the famous friendly Zambian character in action they also have in-depth knowledge of Tongabezi and the surrounding area and are an indispensable source of information.
