8 Seller Insight I have spent the best part of 30 years here, so the house has developed and changed a little during that time, including the addition of an extension to capitalise on the outlook from the house to the countryside. This is a very open, airy house the owner continues. A few years ago we changed all the windows and made some of them bigger, so the downstairs has several sets of patio doors which offer splendid views and allow you to step out into the garden from several of the rooms. 18 Location - Silkstone Low Mill Cottage occupies an enviable position off Silkstone Lane between the villages of Silkstone and Cawthorne, approached via a small lane which leads through glorious scenic countryside. A charming village situated to the West of Barnsley positioned on the outskirts of the Pennines surrounded by breath-taking un-spoilt rural scenery. The area presents attractions such as Cannon Hall Park and farm shop, The Museum and discovery Centre, Wentworth Castle and its glorious Parkland Estate which presents some delightful walks and activities. Langsett is within a short drive with wonderful scenic walks whilst the Peak District National Park is also easily accessible.

19 Neighbouring Penistone is a bustling market town which still holds a weekly traditional outdoor market. Local shops vary from small gift shops and clothing boutiques to mini-supermarkets and a Tesco. Meadowhall is within a 20 minute drive and the area offers a wealth of highly regarded bars and restaurants. The M1 is easily accessible as are surrounding commercial centres. Silkstone Common has its own train station with links to surrounding commercial centres and the area is renowned for the highly regarded schools.
