The site does not benefit from any specific designation and would be considered as undesignated white land. The properties on the site are not statutorily listed buildings and the site does not fall within a designated Conservation Area. is noted by Lewisham Borough Council as a building of local merit. There are a number of Tree Preservation Orders on some of the trees within the grounds. Following the change in policy by the Coalition Government in June 200, new planning guidance has been issued which effectively takes back garden land out of the designation Brownfield land. Whilst the interpretation of this redefinition has yet to be published by Lewisham as local planning authority, it is recommended that any potential purchaser with interest in developing the land holds discussions with Lewisham.
