Charming Character Cottage The property also offers a happy blend of the old and the new, with the brilliantly refurbished original cottage seamlessly flowing into the sympathetic modern extension, making this a beautiful and spacious home with a friendly, welcoming feel. We have loved living here, smile the owners. They moved to the cottage from out of the area, so friends and family are always coming to stay for the weekend and the owners love having a houseful. The kitchen is a great social space and the formal dining room sets the scene for long evening suppers, sharing a bottle or two with friends. When home alone, the owners love nothing more than to relax in the garden room, taking in the lovely green view stretching out in both directions. This is also a fabulous house at Christmas: We have family to stay and have comfortably put up nine overnight. There s plenty of room to get together or to spread out and do our own thing. It s wonderful wrapping up for a walk on the green before warming by the wood burner.

Step out of the front gate and you re on the green, so you can head off for a short stroll or a long hike whatever takes your fancy. The owners have found this a great way to meet people and also enjoy going for runs, heading out for anything from two to ten miles, all off road in beautiful countryside. When it snows, the views are even more picturesque than usual. It s been so good being in the heart of wide open countryside and having a real sense of space and connection to the seasons, while still being a short distance from Norwich. There s no need for a long commute here so the work/life balance is great, explain the owners. The Accommodation You take in the pretty front elevation of Hales Green Cottage before moving through the front door, which is situated on the northern side, just off the single drive.
