CATEGORY SUB-CATEGORY COMMENT WALKS A trail in the woods ACTIVITIES Open space for outdoor activities Maypole thing with grassy area, place for picnic and outdoor activity. ACTIVITIES Idea of semi-manicured outdoor space, native plants, expertise. Maypole and other outdoor areas, wouldn t want to clutter them up with vegetation or buildings. There are some things we do outside we don t want to expand so much we lose the space. ACTIVITY COOKOUTS Need to create a secluded, natural space in the woods for activity/cook outs. AMPHITHEATER Outside space amphitheater space for solstice. BEAUTY Must preserve beauty and quietness we have. BIKE PATH Would like to tie into the bike path system BUFFER Landscaping to buffer from road to have separatenss with nature BUTTERFLY GARDEN Butterfly garden as courtyard BUTTERFLY GARDEN Make a butterfly garden that is in harmony BUY NEXT DOOR CIRCLE CIRCLE CIRCLE Immediately buy property for sale next to us we never know how it will be needed in the next five years or 50 years from now. Consider a sculpture in a circle at the entrance to our safe place that represents our beliefs. Outside--be more welcoming circle area needs to be something pretty, not just weeds and grass, a tree there. Where to exhibit art work; like the circle with no water. Perhaps create art symbols using the COEXIST religious symbols in that space.

EARTH-BASED Like to make use of the current natural environment that we have meditation, earth-based focus, FIRE PIT A fire pit for outdoor services FIRE PIT Fire pit FIRE PIT Get fire pits for patio in the winter. FIRE PIT Want a fire circle FIRE PIT / AMPHITHEATER FIRE PIT / AMPHITHEATER Daughter and I were raised in scouting scouts used fire pits and ampitheaters (reference to suggestions for outdoor worship/meditation space) Idea of more outdoor spaces fire pits, amphitheater. GREEN Love the green space, especially for kids and for the meditative space GREEN Need to be careful regarding runoff with whatever we decide to build GREEN Need to preserve green space and the character that we have now. GREEN Want to see simple native green space that requires little maintenance and doesn t have too much impervious surface GREEN, ETC Use of green technology, energy efficient materials in construction. This also includes improvements to current structures in terms of insulation, retrofitting, etc. GRILLS FIRE PIT Picnic area with grills and a fire pit IRRIGATION Cistern on the grounds don t have a watering system. Think about cistern type project to capture water off parking lot and use it to water our grounds. LABRYNTH LANDSCAPE Covenant group did labrynth--that would be a neat thing to put behind the church. Landscaping just add some plants by the front entry. Maybe High school/middle school kids could plant a bunch of flowers (speaker was youth member).area overgrown. Used to have nice paths but leaves everywhere.

MAINTENANCE Grounds neater but not groomed. Figure out a better way to enhance the beauty of our space. Look a little neater. MAINTENANCE Landscaping is a maintenance problem MAINTENANCE Landscaping needed MAINTENANCE Need maintenance on wooden berms, parking circle garden & children s garden by Fahs. MAINTENANCE Our grounds are a mess. We need to build into the plan something to pay for maintenance. MAINTENANCE Poison ivy at Fahs and entrance MAINTENANCE Sometimes there is debris right at the entry MAINTENANCE Work on grounds, use the path and emphasize using that space. MAP Campus map needs to be relocated from in front of sanctuary and memorial garden included. MEDITATION (Outdoor) meditation spaces MEDITATION Outdoors might even be a meditation space. MISSION Those 8 acres we have ought to be put to good use for our mission. NATURE Would like more plantings and native landscape NATURE Would like the grounds with more flowers and native plants NOT UNIFIED The way our campus is laid out, it just not unified to make it a cohesive campus NOT UNIFIED Unified campus would help, one could see what is church; folks don t realize what is a part of the campus. It might make things more appealing for visitors OPENNESS Maintain the openness. OUTDOOR Need semi-enclosed (roofed?) outdoor space for services/events OUTDOOR See the outdoors more than we can. Need more than those squares along the sides. Our spiritual experience mine involves nature can be enhanced.

OUTSIDE Definition of a signature outdoor space like the Lawn is to UVA or sunken garden to WM. Has some defining characteristic that makes it special. PICNIC CHAIRS More picnic chairs PLAN Need a long term landscaping plan PLANTS Get more plants and less grass so not have to worry about mowing. Ground cover. PLANTS Native plants if purposely organized and planted hardy in our environment. PLAYGROUND A playground that was more than just swings PLAYGROUND Big Circle swing PLAYGROUND Big swimming pool PLAYGROUND Big tree for a play area PLAYGROUND Concrete area to play hop scotch PLAYGROUND For younger children, we need more play ground equipment, slides, etc. Need more swings that are safer PLAYGROUND Frankenstein pool PLAYGROUND How about a Trampoline floor PLAYGROUND Kids play equipment PLAYGROUND Monkey bars PLAYGROUND More concrete (for creative games) PLAYGROUND More swings please PLAYGROUND Move playground away from the road PLAYGROUND Need more types of portable play area balls, hulahoops, etc PLAYGROUND NOT have play space RIGHT next to Ironbound Road! PLAYGROUND Play areas for different ages PLAYGROUND Replace the wooden bridge that was taken out PLAYGROUND Sand box

PLAYGROUND See saw PLAYGROUND Should re-arrange Fahs playground so that it is NOT adjacent to a main road. Don t like the playground being right there next to road. PLAYGROUND Slide PLAYGROUND Tire swing PLAYGROUND Tree houses for different ages PLAYGROUND Water slide PLAYGROUND Water slide PLAYGROUND Water squirtters PLAYGROUND We should go to the rec center to see ideas about playground needs PLAYGROUND Zip line PLAYGROUND FENCE Build a new fence for children 1 PLAYGROUND FENCE Build a new fence for children 2 PLAYGROUND, EVENTS Need more play space around the outdoor space where services/events are held, as well as better outdoor space for services/events themselves RAZE Take out the outbuildings for more parking REDESIGN More cohesive design of the entire campus REDESIGN Start all over again with the design of the complex/campus SACRED Sacred space on the land, permanent, medicine wheel to use outside of a service SAFETY Barrier of bushes between playground and street Need more outdoor space OUTDOORS Need outdoor facilities and open area for socialization

SPEAKS Everything on our church property speaks the confusion in narthex, the grounds, the parking lot, the beautiful sanctuary they speak beyond our usual comprehension. USES Would like more use of outdoor space, especially for the kids VISION Campus, lots of property, not utilized used for practical purpose, look at the whole campus and start anew to make it a campus. VISION We need to create an environment that engages us
