Roosevelt Yard Enhancements Enhancing our school yard by adding wooden planters, concrete water fun, wooden mud kitchen, elevated log climbers, funnel ball, and soccer standards. All of the proposed additions would be accessible before, during, and after school, as well as during holidays, to staff, students, and community members. The planters will provide opportunities for authentic outdoor learning opportunities by providing a dedicated and appropriate space to plant different plants, fruits, and vegetables, and encourage individuals to make predictions and observe how these plants may grow, learn and extend upon their experiences, and enjoy eating the healthy fruits and vegetables they have grown. A refresh of the basketball net and court would go a long way as well! Total Cost = $50,000 Basketball Court Refresh - $20,000; New Playground Equipment - $30,000 This court is desperately needed within this community to allow for people of all ages to engage in a sport they love. Too often, the east end is overlooked for these sorts of opportunities. Groups gather at courts similar to this proposed idea to establish friendships new friendships and build valuable life skills such as confi dence and team work. We ask that this opportunity be given to the people of this area so we are given a change to strengthen our community as a whole.
