2 Seller Insight We knew the property was for us from the moment we saw it in 2000 say the current owners of Trumpeters Lodge in Kent. We were struck by the rural yet convenient location, within easy reach of London. Having viewed the property, the current owners could see the potential to make it their home. A walk around the garden and the ensuing conversations between us over the following few days allowed us to imagine how we could change the interior of the property to meet our wishes and needs they say. Originally built in the 1930 s, the property has since been transformed by the owners into a magnificent five bedroom family home. After moving in we quickly realised what a huge task we were about to undertake. So much so that we left barely a wall standing inside the property and completely reworked the whole layout inside and out. Utterly unique and exquisitely finished, the house and grounds have had much love and care put into them, not only in various extensions but also in styling, from the light and airy décor to the elegant detailing and quality fittings. A show stopping feature is the imposing staircase and galleried landing, while the formal garden is sunny with picturesque landscaping and sweeping lawns. The private swimming pool with roll back roof even boasts changing rooms and is in use all year round, with the music room above ideal for entertaining. The location of the property is ideal, in the sought after Kentish village of Borden. The local primary school is next door and all other facilities are in Sittingbourne town say the owners. The house is only a stone s throw from the M2 motorway so offers the possibility to be on the outskirts of London in 45 minutes. Our favourite feature has to be the entrance hall and the staircase and gallery. We will miss the rural lifestyle we have here and the grounds which we love. Just after we moved in we held a small music day for friends and invited guests with a marquee for the evening. We also hosted an 18th birthday party for one of our grand daughters. The garden is large and has a host of different areas grassed lawns flower beds and patios as well as a swimming pool.
