Introduction Congratulations on purchasing a 9000P Wireless Alarm. Our patent pending wireless system uses the latest technology to deliver an easy to install, reliable way of protecting your valuable contents. Intended Use The 9000P Alarm is a modular system that utilizes an easy to install Siren Module that then connects wirelessly to a range of wireless sensors to protect your valuable contents. This manual describes the key features and functions of your system and how to operate these. System Functionality Arming your Alarm The 9000P has 2 options for arming as outlined below. Actual arming is done via either your PinPad or your Key FOB. Arm Home When arming in home mode, the PIR motion sensors will become inactive. This will give you the ability to move around the room without triggering the alarm unit. To arm home with your PinPad, enter 3 # To arm home with your Key FOB, press the bottom button 3 times, then press the top button once. The system will beep twice and then arm within 4 seconds. Page 3

Arm Away When arming in away mode, all sensors including PIR motion sensors will become active. This mode also gives you extra time to exit before the system is fully armed. To arm away with your PinPad, enter 2 # To arm away with your Key FOB, simply press the top button once. When arming away, the system will slowly beep continuously for approximately 10 seconds. The beeping will then get faster for another 10 seconds, after which the system will arm with two confirmation beeps. This is called the exit period. Once the system becomes active, any sensor movement or motion detection will trigger the alarm system. Alarm Triggering When a trigger occurs, the system will enter a pre trigger mode for a period of 10 second, giving you time to disarm the alarm before the siren sounds. This pre trigger warning sounds like 3 rapid chirps, a delay, 3 rapid chirps, a delay and then 3 final rapid chirps. During this pre trigger warning, the system must be deactivated / disarmed by either the Pin Pad or the Remote Key Fob otherwise the siren will sound. Once triggered, the siren will sound for 30 seconds and will then rearm. For that particular sensor trigger, the siren will repeat this cycle twice more. If another sensor triggers the Alarm, then that would cause the siren to sound for a further 3 cycles of 30 seconds each or until a valid disarm signal is received. Disarming your Alarm To disarm the Alarm with your PinPad, enter your 4 6 digit Pin followed by the # key. If you have not changed from the factory default, your Pin will be To disarm the Alarm with your Key FOB, press the top button once. Effectively the top button on the Key Fob toggles between arm and disarm. Page 4

When disarming the system, you should hear only a single beep from the Alarm/Siren unit. This single beep tells you that there has been no activity in your absence. In the event that one of the sensors has triggered the Alarm system whilst you were away, you will hear a unique sequence of diagnostic chirps immediately after disarming the Alarm/Siren. Panic Mode The system includes the ability to be used as a panic or distress alarm, which can be engaged by either type of remote as shown below: Hold down any button (except the # button) for 3 seconds and the Siren will sound for 30 seconds. To disable panic mode enter your Pin and the # key. Hold the bottom button down for 3 seconds and the Siren will sound for 30 seconds. To disable panic mode press the top remote button. Diagnostics When arming and disarming your Alarm, the unit may give some extra chirps to provide you with additional information about the condition of the Alarm and sensors as well as information about why the Alarm went off. These are described below. What triggered my Alarm? In the event the system was triggered in your absence, when disarming the Alarm you will hear a beep followed by a melody. You can then go into diagnostic mode to determine which sensor was triggered. The system will store the last 3 triggered events in its diagnostic memory. How to use Diagnostic mode is explained below. Diagnostic Mode To enter Diagnostic mode from your Pin Pad, hold the # button for 3 seconds. After the red lights stop flashing, enter 3 1 #. To enter Diagnostic mode from your Key FOB, press the top and bottom buttons at the same time. The top button should flash red and green rapidly. Once the flashing stops press the top button 3 times and the bottom button once. Understanding the Diagnostics After you have entered Diagnostic Mode, the Green LED on the Alarm/Siren will flash. This will be followed by a series of beeps for the 1 st event, then a pause. Page 5

The Red LED will flash once, then another series of beeps (2 nd event), then a pause, red LED flash once, then another series of beeps (3 rd event). Sensor type that caused a trigger The number of beeps for a trigger indicates what type of sensor caused the trigger as shown in the table below. Number of Beeps Sensor Type 4 PIR sensor 9 DoorGuard Sensor Sensor Isolation A particular sensor will only be able to trigger the Alarm/Siren 3 times, after which that sensor will be ignored until the alarm is disarmed and rearmed. If a sensor does become blacklisted, it will not affect the operation of the other sensors paired to the system. This is primarily to stop say a faulty sensor from continually triggering the Alarm/Siren. If you have multiples of a particular sensor type installed, for example 2 PIR movement sensors then it may be useful to find out which actual sensor caused a particular trigger. Low Battery Warning General When arming or disarming the system, if a low battery condition is detected in either the Alarm/Siren or any of the wireless sensors, the Siren will emit two extra low frequency beeps. If the Siren module itself has a low battery, there will be a brief pause followed by three additional low frequency beeps. Low Battery Detection for a specific sensor If you have a larger area with multiple PIR and other sensors, it is useful to be able to detect the specific sensor that has a low battery condition. There is a way to detect this specific sensor by performing the following process. Disarm the Alarm. If the system has a low battery condition, it will beep once and then thereafter, play a melody. Here is how you find the specific sensor: Using the PIN Pad From the PIN pad, press and hold the # button down for three seconds. Once the red lights stop flashing, enter 3 3 # Page 6

Using the Key Fob Hold both top and bottom buttons down simultaneously for 3 seconds. The red and green lights will flash on the top button. Wait until the lights stop flashing. Press the top button 9 times. 1. You will hear 3 low frequency beeps, indicating you are in low battery detection mode. 2. When the beeping stops, start with the PIR motion sensors. Once the PIR is located, test each PIR sensor individually (if you have multiple) by waving your hands in front of that sensor only from approximately 5 feet away. Make sure you activate only one sensor at a time. When you trigger a PIR with a low battery it sends the signal to the Alarm/ Siren and in sequence you will hear a melody that follows. If the sensor battery is good, you will hear a single beep. If the sensor battery is low, you will hear a melody, continue to the next sensor. 3. Open each door or compartment that contains a movement sensor. You will hear a single beep from the Alarm/Siren if the batteries are in good condition. Once you locate a sensor with a low battery, it will send a signal and you will hear a melody playing (there is no visual indicator for door sensors). Replace batteries in that sensor and continue to the next sensor and so on. 4. Once you have tested all of the sensors, either reenter your PIN number then press # to exit Low Battery Detection Mode or press the Disarm button on your Key Fob. 5. A melody will play and issue one beep upon exiting. If you continue to hear the melody, this means you have more sensors to locate so continue testing as above. 6. Test for low battery again, the system should provide 2 beeps for arm and 1 beep for disarm and no longer issue a low battery warning melody. Note: It is good practice to set a battery replacement schedule, just as you would a smoke detector. There is no reprogramming involved. Just remove old batteries and replace with new. Battery life is expected to be up to 2 years. Page 7

Pairing Sensors Pairing is the process of linking new sensors to your main Alarm/Siren module. This is a similar process to pairing a Bluetooth headset with a Cell phone. First the main Siren module is put into pair mode so that it searches for available sensors to pair with and then a sensor is put into pair mode to link it to the Siren. This process is described in detail below: Putting Alarm Siren into Pair Mode There are 3 ways of putting the Alarm Siren into pair mode. The first is at time of initial battery installation and the others are typically used when adding a sensor to an existing system and utilize either the PIN Pad or the Key Fob to place the Alarm Siren into pair mode. Method A button inside the Alarm Siren Install the three AA batteries into the main Alarm/Siren unit. Press and release the black program button located on the circuit board next to the battery compartment. The unit will beep twice, green LED flashes slowly searching for a signal for the next 60 seconds. If any of the LED indicator(s) flash Red rapidly, the pairing attempt was unsuccessful and you will need to start the pairing process again. Method B using the PIN Pad Using the PIN Pad, hold down the # key for 3 seconds. The red PIN Pad lights will begin to flash. Wait until the lights on the PIN Pad stop flashing Enter 1 6 # The Siren will beep twice, its green LED flashes slowly searching for a signal for the next 60 seconds. If any of the LED indicator(s) flash Red rapidly, the pairing attempt was unsuccessful and you will need to invoke the pairing process again. Page 8

Method C using the Key Fob Using the Key Fob, press the top and bottom buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The top button will turn red and then flash red and green rapidly and go out. After the lights stop flashing, press the top button 7 times The top button will turn green each time you press it. Then press the bottom button to send the pairing command to the Siren. The Siren will beep twice, its green LED flashes slowly searching for a signal for the next 60 seconds. If any of the LED indicator(s) flash Red rapidly, the pairing attempt was unsuccessful and you will need to invoke the pairing process again. Pairing a new PIN Pad First place the Siren into pairing mode using one of the methods (A C) described above. Once the Alarm/Siren is in pair mode, hold down the # button for 3 seconds. Wait until the red lights turns on, then flashes rapidly and finally until they stop flashing. Enter 1 4 #. The red lights will flash rapidly on the PIN Pad and the green light on the Alarm/Siren will flash rapidly and then go out indicating that pairing succeeded. If any of the LED indicator(s) flash red rapidly, the pairing attempt was unsuccessful and you will need to start the pairing process over. Pairing a new Key Fob First place the Siren into pairing mode using one of the methods (A C) described above. Hold both top and bottom buttons down simultaneously for 3 seconds The red and green lights will flash on the top button of the remote. Page 9

Once the lights stop flashing, press the top button 6 times and then press the bottom button once. The green light on the Alarm/Siren will flash rapidly and then go out, indicating that pairing was successful. If any of the LED indicator(s) flash red rapidly, the pairing attempt was unsuccessful and you will need to start the pairing process over. Pairing a DoorGuard Sensor Remove the top cover of the DoorGuard sensor. Install the batteries, carefully noting polarity / direction as the diagram indicates. Allow the DoorGuard sensor to settle for 30 seconds. Now place the Siren into pairing mode using one of the methods (A C) described above. Once the Alarm/Siren is in the pairing mode, press the program button on the DoorGuard circuit board using something like a ballpoint pen. The green LED on the DoorGuard circuit board will illuminate and flash slowly as it searches and then rapidly when pairing has been accepted and then goes out. Repeat this procedure for each additional sensor(s) added to the system. Note: The Red LED on sensor circuit board will flash rapidly upon failure. Remove the batteries from the sensor let it stand for 30 seconds and repeat the pairing procedure. Pairing a PIR Motion Sensor Remove the batteries and allow the PIR motion sensor to rest for 15 seconds. Now place the Siren into pairing mode using one of the methods (A C) described above. Reinstall the batteries in the PIR, carefully noting polarity / direction. The PIR motion sensor LEDs will illuminate red, then turn solid green, then flash green rapidly when pairing is accepted then flash slowly red 5 times and go out. Page 10

Note (1): In the event the Red LED on the siren flashes rapidly continuously and goes out, this means the system failed to pair correctly. Upon failure, remove batteries from the sensor, let stand for 30 seconds and repeat pairing procedure. Note (2): The Alarm/Siren will exit Pairing Mode automatically after each device is paired or after 60 seconds. In order to perform additional pairing of sensors, you must put the Siren into pair mode using one of the methods (A C) described above. Changing your PIN on the PIN Pad You can change your PIN to any number between 4 and 6 digits using the process below: Using the PIN Pad, press the # button and hold for 3 seconds. First, a single red light will turn on, and then two red lights begin to flash rapidly. Wait until the lights stop flashing. Enter the change PIN sequence (1 2 3 #) Three red lights will flash and the PIN Pad will beep. Within three seconds, enter the old PIN then #. Lights will flash and the PIN Pad will beep. The red light between numbers 1 4 will stay on. Now enter the new PIN then #. The red light between numbers 1 4 will continue to stay on and the PIN Pad beeps. Enter the new PIN again to verify and press #. A melody will chime confirming PIN change was accepted and the lights will go out. Note: Each step must be performed within 5 seconds of one another. If you take longer than 5 seconds, a melody will chime and the system will exit this function mode. You will have to start the process over from the beginning. Page 11

Special Functions The Alarm system must be in Function Mode in order to activate or deactivate programming and pairing functions. PIN Pad Functions The Function and PIN Pad Sequence required to enter each mode is described in the table below: Function Sequence 7 button PIN keypad into pair mode 1 4 # Alarm/Siren into pair mode using PIN pad 1 6 # On Board Diagnostics 1 3 # Clear Diagnostics 3 2 # Change PIN number # Detect Low Battery 3 3 # Key Fob Functions Hold both top and bottom buttons down simultaneously for 3 seconds.
