1 JULY 2015 Monthly Report Our mission is to prevent and minimize the loss of life and property damage from fire to our citizens and visitors; to provide high quality emergency medical services; to mitigate the consequences of natural and man-made disasters; and to provide non-emergency support services within our realm of expertise through highly skilled, trained and dedicated personnel. 1

4 NFIRS Mutual Aid Incidents There were a total of 14 Mutual Aid/Automatic Aid NFIRS Incidents for the month of JULY The type of aid/incidents given and received are noted below: Incident # On 07/01/2015, STFD were dispatched to an EMS call, No Private Ambulances were available in the county prior to calling 911 and still no ambulances were available, we received Mutual Aid from Richfield Township Fire for Transport. Incident # On 07/03/2015, STFD were at the Sylvania Fire Works, there was an EMS call and Richfield Township Fire was on Central Trail that was close to the incident and we received Mutual Aid from them. Incident # /07/2015, STFD were dispatched for mutual aid to Springfield Township for a garage fire, STFD were the first to arrive and remained on Stand-by until call completed. Incident # On 07/10/2015, STFD were dispatched to an EMS call, Due to no ambulances prior to calling 911, we received Mutual Aid from Springfield Township Fire Department. Incident # On 07/12/2015, STFD were dispatched to a Fire Call, We received Mutual Aid from Springfield Township Fire Department for Stand-by at the Station. Incident # On 07/12/2015. STFD were dispatched to an EMS call, due to the long wait for an ambulance the Patient went POV. Incident # On 07/14/2015, STD were dispatched to an EMS call, there were no ambulances available and we received Mutual Aid from Springfield Township Fire for Transport. 4

5 NFIRS Mutual Aid Incidents There were a total of 14 Mutual Aid/Automatic Aid NFIRS Incidents for the month of JULY The type of aid/incidents given and received are noted below: Incident # On 07/20/2015, STFD were dispatched a Mutual Aid Fire call for Toledo Fire Department, We had (2) of STDF Fire Crews dispatched. Incident # On 07/20/2015, STFD were dispatched to an EMS call, No ambulances were available and we received Mutual Aid from Springfield Township Fire for Transport. Incident # On 07/20/2015, STFD were dispatched to an EMS call, No ambulances were available and we received Mutual Aid from Toledo Fire for transport. Incident # On 07/20/2015. STFD were dispatched to an EMS call, there were no ambulances available, and we received Mutual Aid from Springfield Township Fire for Transport. Incident # On 07/20/2015, STFD were dispatched to an EMS call, there were no ambulances available and we received Mutual Aid from Springfield Township Fire for Transport. Incident # On 07/20/2015, STFD were dispatched to an EMS call, there were no ambulances available and we received Mutual Aid from Toledo Medic 23 for Transport. Incident # On 07/21/2015, STFD were dispatched to a Fire Call, We received Mutual Aid from Springfield Township Fire. 5

6 Sylvania Township Fire Department Community Risk Reduction Public Safety Education During the month of July, there were 1 public education event. The department issued 2 permits for above ground storage tanks (used for emergency power generators), and for removal of 5 underground storage tanks. 360 inspections and re-inspections were completed in July by the on-duty fire crews. The Chiefs and fire crews worked two Firework events for the Independence Day holiday celebration. Building and Project Plan Reviews Notable Projects Fire Prevention/Community Risk Reduction conducted 16 plan reviews in July, 3 license inspections for preschool, daycare facilities and/or home inspections for Adoption and Foster Care, 3 consultation visits to assist local businesses in safety planning or to answer code questions regarding a planned project, 10 final acceptance tests for installed or upgraded fire protection systems or new businesses. There were 3 Freedom of Information Act Requests (5600 W Alexis, 6790 W Central, W Sylvania). 6
