1 and SEE VICTAULIC PUBLICATION FOR DETAILS These Model V27 residen tial sprinklers are designed to eet the requireents of NFPA 13, 13D and 13R for residential use in a variety of roo sizes, depending upon available operating pressure and roo configu ration. Model is UL Listed for use under sooth flat horizontal ceilings and sloped ceilings up to and including 8/12 (33.7 ) pitch. The design incorporates state-of-the-art, heat responsive, frangible glass bulb design (quick response) for propt, precise operation. The die cast frae is ore strealined and attractive than traditional sand cast fraes. It is cast with a hex-shaped wrench boss to allow easy tightening fro any angles, reducing assebly effort. This sprin kler is available in various finishes to eet any design requireents. The V27 sprinklers are now available with the aestheti cally pleasing doe cover plate, which also is avail able in various finishes to eet any design require ents. DOME COVER PLATE SPRINKLER OPERATION: The operating echanis is a frangible glass bulb which contains a heat responsive liquid. During a fire, the abient tepera ture rises causing the liquid in the bulb to expand. When the abient teperature reaches the rated teperature of the sprin kler, the bulb shatters. As a result, the waterway is cleared of all sealing parts and water is discharged towards the deflector. The deflector is designed to dis tribute the water in a pat tern that is ost effective in controlling the fire COVERAGE: Residential spray coverage up to 20 feet 20 feet ( ) roo sizes per NFPA. The plastic shipping cap ust be reoved for the sprinkler to operate properly. If shipping cap is replaced over an installed sprinkler for purposes of painting or plastering, then the fire protection syste shall be considered out of service, the Authority Having Jurisdiction notified, and a firewatch is suggested. 4 and WARNING WARNING Always read and understand installation, care, and aintenance instructions, supplied with each box of sprinklers, before proceeding with installation of any sprinklers. Always wear safety glasses and foot protection. Depressurize and drain the piping syste before attepting to install, reove, or adjust any Victaulic piping products. Installation rules, especially those governing obstruction, ust be strictly followed. Painting, plating, or any re-coating of sprinklers (other than that supplied by Victaulic) is not allowed. Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious personal injury and/or property daage. The owner is responsible for aintaining the fire protection syste and devices in proper operating condition. For iniu aintenance and inspection requireents, refer to the current National Fire Protection Association paphlet that describes care and aintenance of sprinkler systes.
