3 The PICO-M-1C s compact design means that it may also be integrated into lamps Something small that s really big The new remotely controlled PICO-M-1C mini motion detector with its small size of 33 ø x 60 mm (15 mm installation height) may be used for a very broad range of applications. It may be fitted in ceilings, walls and lamps and with its IP65 rating it may be used both indoors and outdoors as well as in damp rooms. The power element integrated into the sensor means that with its minimalistic design, it may also be fitted directly into lamps using the included clamp ring. In spite of its very small size, the PICO-M-1C with its high-performance relay delivers a switching performance that equals that of the PD9 presence detector range. This small detector comes with among other things a fitted 1.5 m long cable. And the optionally available IR-PD-1C remote control allows many programs to be set and executed with this detector. 4 New optimized successor for extending independent BUS systems A new generation The previous 180-R-24V and PD2-M-2C24V ranges of motion detectors have now been replaced with products from the next generation. Operating with possible supply voltages of V, these new devices may be used in conjunction with a broader range of proprietary BUS systems. 13 The new SMARTHOME Web server for unrestricted use Access from all over the world In order to make it possible for its customers to access their building s SMARTHOME systems from all over the world, B.E.G. has complemented its SMARTHOME family with a Web server. This server allows the system to be controlled comfortably and easily from a Web browser. As with the MyControl unit, the intuitive user interface uses symbols and icons to make systematic navigation possible. Users may query switching states or quickly and easily switch off critical consumers using the central function after buildings have been vacated. B.E.G. Webserver Art.No.: Webserver 13

14 PD11-KNX-FLAT-FC Art.No.: For perfect integration: the new PD11-KNX-FLAT-FC with a sensor component that possesses a visible height of just one millimetre Super flat The range of KNX-capable presence detectors has been carried forward and extended by the PD11-KNX-FLAT-FC a discreet solution for monitored areas with a size of up to eight metres in diameter. The detector is very design-neutral and inconspicuous and is thus also suitable for use at homes. Thanks to its super-flat lens that is sized only 0.85mm and the combination of sensor and power element in a single housing, the device requires little installation space. The already integrated BUS coupler allows the product to be easily and quickly taken into operation. A structured application software allows the new PD11-KNX-FLAT-DE to be easily incorporated into existing KNX-BUS systems compatibility and usability are thus guaranteed from the start. The current version may be downloaded at any time from B.E.G. homepage and imported into ETS 2, ETS 3 or ETS 4. The combination of motion detector, light metering and internal logic allows the presence detector to monitor the parameters necessary to perfectly control how buildings are illuminated and in conjunction with B.E.G. familiar KNX components for switching, dimming and blinds helps realize massive savings potentials. 14

15 B.E.G. has now also included an additional option in its KNX range one that covers square areas KNX squared PD1N-KNX-FC Art.No.: The PD1N series in the KNX range has also been extended. The new PD1N-KNX-FC allows KNX/ EIB-based systems used in buildings to be perfectly upgraded to monitor square coverage areas. The integrated BUS coupler allows the device to be connected using a standard WAGO bus plug. The BEG_DIM_HKL_ V4.0 application software allows four modes to be selected semi-automatic or fully-automatic switching in normal mode, semi-automatic or fully-automatic dimming (constant light control), slave mode and permanent dimming (independent of presence). Two controlled (specified in lux) and one constant target value (target in %) may also be set. 15

For more details please see When MiD were looking for a sensor to fit into their suspended light fittings, they needed a compact discrete product that would not deflect from their aesthetic design. After much testing they chose the PD9 Sensor from B.E.G., as its compact size met all their design criteria. This small sensor only protrudes 12 mm from the fitting, but still provides a detection area of 10 m.
