3 CCSAUS instructions specific to hazardous area installations YY5 to YY9 The following instructions relevant to safe use in a hazardous area apply to equipment covered by the CCSAUS certificate. 1 The certification marking is as follows: Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D Ex ia IIC T6 T1 Ga Class 1, Zone 0 AEx ia IIC T6 T1 Ga Reference drawing PZ Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D Ex na IIC T6 T1 Gc Class 1, Zone 2 AEx na IIC T6 T1 Gc Reference drawing PZ The equipment may be used in Zones 0, 1 and 2 with flammable gases and vapours, with apparatus groups IIA, IIB and IIC, and with temperature classes T1 to T6. Temperature classes depend on the operating temperatures of the sensor, cable and signal conditioner (see 4). 3 The equipment may also be used in Division 1 and Division 2 with Groups A, B, C, D. 4 The equipment is only certified for use in ambient temperatures in the range as specified below and should not be used outside this range. Sensor operating temperature: 70 to +350 C. Cable operating temperature: 54 to +260 C. Conditioner operating temperature: 54 to +125 C. Repair of the equipment is to be carried out by the manufacturer, or their approved agents, in accordance with the applicable code of practice. 9 Repair of this equipment shall be carried out in accordance with the applicable code of practice. 10 If the equipment is likely to come into contact with aggressive substances, such as acidic liquids or gases that may attack metals or solvents that may affect polymeric materials, then it is the responsibility of the user to take suitable precautions that prevent it from being adversely affected, thus ensuring that the type of protection is not compromised. 11 WARNING EXPLOSION HAZARD DO NOT DISCONNECT WHILE CIRCUIT IS LIVE UNLESS AREA IS KNOWN TO BE NON-HAZARDOUS.
